The Seychelles Column - By Christopher Gill

Leader of Opposition Defaults on Unity Deadline

In September and October 2009, I held numerous meetings with Mr. Wavel Ramkalawan, Roger Mancienne, Jean Francois Ferrari, with the mediation of a prominent business personality in Seychelles.

In the meetings with these key personas in the SNP, a key point was brought up by myself as being a necessary ingredient to beating the SPPF- PP in the next elections: Unity of the Opposition to face a common opponent. I stressed this and said that the work towards unity had to be taken up as a matter of top priority and urgency.

Picking Up The Broken Pieces of Political Crystal
The NDP leader Ralph Volcere, did not attend these meetings. Since the termination of the Alliance between DP and SNP, there was a big gap widening, for numerous reasons. But the prominent business personality advised him of the meetings and asked for input and sought common ground, and kept him informed of developments. We all seemed to understand that unity in the opposition was important, no matter what kind of bad blood had surfaced over time between the different parties.

With our political history, bad blood is expected. It is what we do about it, is how we will be judged by future generations. It is on this note that true leadership will rise to the occasion.

I personally believe that individual whims and political cliques are subservient to the national agenda for change and a better Seychelles. The time for soft power and soft politics is over as Seychellois face losing their country to outside influences.

The idea of the meetings I believed was to eventually work towards bringing everyone around a round table for discussions, a little like the legends of King Arthur, the knight that united Briton after he was freed from serfdom knighthood under Roman Empire rule.

But time would show us, that in our mist, we have no King Arthur leading us. For those that have read the legend of King Arthur, we have only a Woad-Priest, leading us, in order to feather his bed. Read on, especially the SNP fanatics, but keep the Super Panadol 500 mg in hand, you will need it. But once the headache is over, you will be free from the mental bondages of being referred to as green behind the ears; you will soon know what your leadership is made of.

Can Ramkalawan Win A Presidential Election?
In one meeting with Mr. Ramkalawan the question surfaced: “Can Wavel Ramkalawan win an election with another Alliance”. The answer initially was “no, he is spent”. But Mr. Ramkalawan said that with everyone’s support and help, he could do it and he should be given one last chance, a little like the Michael Jackson last show at the time: “THIS IS IT!”

When I suggested his candidacy would be like a THIS IS IT”!” concert, he laughed, and agreed. He said with money, Scr. 10 Million, he could do it this time!

With that, Mr. Ramkalawan asked me to give a speech to the SNP in a Party Conference on the economy of the Nation, as a guest speaker in order to set the stage for unity within the opposition and to explain to the SNP in simple terms what was happening to Seychelles under IMF Program and national bankruptcy SPPF had taken us to.

I agreed to give the speech to SNP under one single condition put to Mr. Ramkalawan: “he must take immediate steps to unite the opposition, as hard as it may be”.

Mr. Ramkalawan agreed that he would do that, but told me the timing is not right at this time (October 2009). He elaborated, and asked that we set the time to appeal for unity within the opposition with the rebuttal speech he would provide to Michel’s State of the Nation Address in February, 2010. That was Five (5) months from the date of our discussions.

Count the months, they add up and tell a story.

Rebuttal State of Nation Address
The rebuttal to the State of Nation came, after James Michel gave another “Jack Joker liar, your pants are on fire” speech to the Seychellois people.

As Mr. Ramkalawan spoke, I glued my ears to the radio listening to the words and appeal for unity and chartering of a path forward for unity. My wife was insulting me, the entire time, telling me “Ramkalawan will never unite the opposition, because he does not want to win elections”, I snapped back at her, telling her, “Everyone wants to win!” Then she said, “Ramkalawan does not want to win, because he would not have a clue what to do with the mess, and he would have to finally start to do real work..., so stop dreaming”, she explained now with slight aggression towards me for ruining her day again.

The rebuttal speech came and Ramkalawan just took most of an article on STARSEYCHELLES I wrote, and used it for his speech, even the call for “Sesel Pou Seselwa”, he made with a weak appeal, was taken from the article. The appeal had not been made for over 34 years, after Independence.

I must reveal to the People of Seychelles, after that speech, I had never been so down and felt so low, for having been failed, by a man who did not keep his word, when it meant so much to the People of Seychelles.

I have known many political dead beats, but this one, at this time, in Seychelles history, well, let me say no more.

The Priest Cum Politician Is Late To Deliver On His Word Again
If any school boy or university student ever read the Legends of King Arthur, he would get the key message in it: “We are all born with Freedom in hand, and no man can take this away from us”.

Additionally, between men, it is the word of a man that he keeps that gives him value. When men break their word, and connive, mislead the public, and comrades in arms, with deception and manipulation, what they build, they build on sand. With the first wave, the effort is lost, the building destroyed.

This is the way of the world outside of Rene-ism Mr. Priest cum politician.

Break The Opposition Alliance
I know Mr. Ramkalawan broke off the Alliance with the DP and bounced Frank Elizabeth out of the National Assembly. I know his reasons, he did not trust Mr. Elizabeth with the 2/3 casting vote, if ever a constitutional issue would be tabled. There was no constitutional issue at hand when the Alliance was broken.

Mr. Ramkalawan gave some lame excuse to the public that Tromlin Island and Glouriese Island belonged to the French or Mauritius, I do not recall, and it is not worth the time to reference it from past articles.

But the bottom line is this: SNP would not have all the seats in the National Assembly today, if the DP did not lend a hand in the last elections. In spite of that, Mr. Ramkalawan broke his word, and broke a political alliance that could deliver Seychelles from PP and failing Michel.

King Arthur would have died to keep his word. With that, he lived to become the first King of England. I doubt Mr. Ramkalawan will ever become King of anything, if he habitually breaks his word as he treks on. If he does, it will be an act that defies the lessons of King Arthur, First King of England.

The systematic breaking of one’s word, without remorse, is a primitive communist antic I believe today, Ramkalawan learnt from Rene, who habitually, misled good decent people in the past. It is a bad habit and bad practice in any community. It is unbecoming of a priest, if he is still considered one, in the eyes of God.

If Mr. Ramkalawan is still a priest, in my personal opinion, if he breaks his word regularly, he is a perverted version of what a priest should be. The Anglican Church can do better, and the People of Seychelles deserve better.

If one regularly breaks his word on public issues, I can only imagine what he does on personal matters. The standard is obscene and calls for an internal investigation within the Anglican Church. How can priests be allowed to live such unfettered lives in a modern society without any accountability to the Church let alone the people?

Opposition Financiers Call For Tete a Tete
Exactly 30 days ago, a group of Seychellois opposition financiers called for a meeting of the different key players in the Opposition that can make things happen in Seychelles. I answered the call and attended the meeting.

Most of the players showed up. Mr. Ramkalawan noticeably was absent and failed to turn up for a meeting that was another bona fide attempt to unite the Opposition.

I could not believe that he would treat people who finance the opposition with such disrespect. The least he could do is to listen!

Perhaps it is so because today, Ramkalawan is likely being financed by SIVA, Eden Island, Khalifa and other non Seychellois interests that are meddling in our internal affairs and politics.

Many people do not want to believe that but it is beginning to look a little like Michael Jackson, dumping his brothers in arms on stage, to go do the Moon walk by himself, because it just makes more money, with less problems to deal with day to day. However, in the end it was his brothers, who were there for him all along.

Unfortunately, the opposition now faces a calamity in ranks. That does not speak highly of the leadership. I attended this past meeting and I will make myself available for any future meetings to unite the opposition. This remains an open commitment with no deadline on my part.

Five (5) Months Over Deadline
We are now Five (5) months over the deadline Ramkalawan set for himself in the meeting he had with me last year. Added to the Five (5) months grace he asked, that is Ten (10) months of no effort at unity. He is beginning to look like a total derelict, as a leader.

Times Move On and Things Just Happen

Time moves and stops for no one. Not even his Excellency the Right Honourable, Father, Right Reverend Mr. Wavel Ramkalawan. Since he has not met his deadline, we are working overtime to find out why he does not unite the Opposition.

We have exposed many scams ongoing now for many years, involving SNP leadership. I have posted them on Facebook and StarSeychelles. The termites are working overtime to discredit me. They even want to know why six (6) rocks are in the middle of my drive way. Good luck, termites, you will need it.

Since the deadline has passed, we have exposed Pauline Ferrari, sister of Jean Francois Ferrari as being an informant in opposition camp and recently rewarded as Honorary Vice Consul in Paris, working for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and State House. James Michel occupies State House, not Ramkalawan.

Since the deadline has passed, we have been searching documents. We have seen SNP supporter Patrick Lablache (first cousin to Jean Francois Ferrari, Secretary General of SNP) and close friends, as signatory to the La Misere land sales to Sheik Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Mr. Lablache is now Chairman of Island Development Corporation (IDC), where Mr. Glenny Savy is CEO. This transaction to Khalifa was not tendered as required by the State Land and Rivers Act. Additionally, what is an SNP supporter doing as Chairman to CEO, Mr. Glenny Savy? We have heard nothing since the appointment from IDC, all is silent.

Since the deadline has passed, we have exposed Bernard Georges as being Sheik Khalifa’s lawyer for a Ten (10) acres Government of Seychelles parcel transaction, that violated the State Land and Rivers Act, by not offering the land to public tender. Why would Bernard Georges do a transaction as a Notary that violates the State Lands and Rivers Act provision of tender requirement for lands larger than Five (5) acres?

Since the deadline has passed, we now know that Bernard Georges, as Sheik Khalifa’s lawyer, and Renee Trioan’s lawyer, did numerous transactions at Barbarons Estate, to sell land to Khalifa, help him get established in Seychelles, and sell out Seychelles patrimony en bloc to one prince, that would later become a tribal king.

Viyzon infers that Bernard Georges doing transactions for land sale to Khalifa at the time, is fine because Khalifa was just a prince at the time, and not a tribal king as he is at the time Delo Kaka made the residents of La Misere sick.

Shame on Vizyon, today it cannot attack SPPF, it can only defend itself.

We will continue to expose the selling out of our patrimony and continue to educate the people of Seychelles of why there is no unity in the opposition, until there is. There is more information coming every day. If anyone from the Opposition wants to sponsor a full time researcher for Two (2) months, call me and make a pledge. Nobody likes being taken for a fool.

What Else Are We Uncovering under the Table Between SNP and SPPF- PP?
This has included the 38% salary increase SNP conspired with SPPF to get while Seychellois suffered great hardship under the IMF programs. They promised a raise when they took one for themselves, and now Seychellois get nothing, because there is no money to give raises.

This includes the 70% Pension for life for politicians SNP conspired with SPPF to get, that they never reported to the Public or debated. Mr. Hon. Ramkalawan (SNP) and Mrs Hon. Potter (PP) can resign today and they will be paid over Scr. 12 Million in pension if they live for 40 years. All they have to do is breath, inhale, exhale, do nothing for the People of Seychelles. This is not acceptable in any democratic country, why would they think it is acceptable in Seychelles?

Are we Seychellois entitled to less democracy and less accountability?

Do not forget the 18.75% Gross –Up Top Up increase, to pay for their taxes, that will come from funds of the People of Seychelles.

We are being sold out by our Opposition the SNP, abbreviation for Seychelles National Party. The “National” is the Gummy Bear or Spongebob type, choose.

People of Seychelles must open eyes, and open ears.

Unless this is true, the SNP must take steps to unite the Opposition, in spite of its loss of credibility. However, that will now mean cleaning out your rubbish bins, and cleaning house, before guests meet with you at this point.

You guys really stink! Wow, the garbage dump at Providence would be ashamed, if it could register an opinion.

Today, SNP cannot say: “Sesel Pou Seselwa!” Parti Pas Les Tombe, In Kas En Ba Tou Seselwa!

But we can all tell SNP and SPPF: “Sesel Pou Seselwa!

Now you SPPF-PP, don’t laugh too hard, next week it’s your turn again as usual, you bunch of sell outs of Seychelles patrimony.

People of Seychelles, the time has come to draw a line with the selling of our patrimony. If we do not, our children will not forgive us, and we will no longer remain a fundamentally Christian based nation.

May God Bless All Freedom Loving Seychellois!

Dr Maboulle says Ramka was right not to accept someone with a personality disorder to join with the opposition. Dr Maboulle says Mr. Gozye is suffering from a series od mental illness that ranges from paranoia to Schizofrenia.

If Dr. Maboulle is SNP's lawyer, then we know why they are the Sick National Party (SNP).

Get serious, SNP, you are paid to be serious.

And paid a lot, much more than you would all be paid in the private sector or civil service.

To me, that says a lot.

• It is amazing to see how politics had changed our nation, today merely everything happen on the plateau of political advantages. Seychelles need better than that, the next generation want to see a politics that bring the nation together e.g., to talk about and find better ways for the people. Seychelles is too small for politics of this kind which is softly killing our paradise ''given respect to our constitution we will have a better Seychelles. We are exhausted of the 3 political circles; it is creating too many divisions, too many anxiety and intimidation. Unifying Seychelles is paramount not only for political advantage but for the happiness of all the divided families and our fragile economy. One can have his differences but that doesn’t mean he cannot work for his country or share the same roof with his family. We simply have to stop with this political color business; people’s mind must be free and make clean decision. For last 20 years I was expecting more from the 3 circles, now I understand circles will always remain circles and they will all spin their own way not the people’s way until God sent someone to unify them i have a dream lets have faith not revenge.

If seselwa so far hasn't realised that the SNP is here just for the taking & just to ride along with SPPF/PL then we seselwa would never be able to remove SPPF/PL from power.
SNP & PL are both brothers in crime.
During the last 4 years SNP has been given ample of opportunities to capitalise & apply pressure to SPPF/PL. They have had windows of opportunities such as our country's economical meltdown.
We had the delo kaka fiasco, we had the 4 billion dollars stacked away in overseas bank, we had the several million dollars vanished under the watch of Joel Morgan etc... the least is endless but what have we seen SNP done about all this...nothing & simple nothing! They just sit on their asses & kept silence all along.

Several months ago, I for once & many other up here have called on Wavel to relinquish the LOP post & revamp SNP & unite the opposition. But our plea fell on deaf ears so Seselwa get ready for another 20 yrs of SPPF/PL rule all thanks to their brother in crimes better known as SNP or better still as a fellow STAR blogger usually quote SNPL!

PS: Another excellent article Mr Gill & so far STAR has shed lights on many issues that affects all seselwa & issues which have been hidden or swept under the carpet from seselwa by the inefficient main opposition party. Keep them coming sir!

Reading between your spin we can also see:

1) Mediation is supposed to be confidential - no if's, no buts, no blackmail about talking if such and such is not done.

You and your Financier have not respected any of these so I guess the other party is right not to trust you and your mediation anymore.

2) It seems like Wavel showed he was converging with you by adopting your material in his rebuttal. Is this not a sign of convergence?

But the fact seems you are not promoting your manifesto or agenda, you simply want to promote the name of GILL. You will use whatever ideology is convienient for your ego.

3) You now list a lot of issues -even using family relations- to try and discredit your opponent. We see with some of these you are scrapping the bottom of the barrel.

So what you are saying is IF SNP had agreed to make GILL leader you and your FINANCIER will look the other way for these "crimes"? This is the new world you want to make for us?

Listen to URS above. We want a proper democratic world. You old people with old battles and dreams of kingdom and lots of skeletons -just butt out! Go run your hotel or business or whatever!

Reply to Spin Roger Spin-

The statements are true. They were part of a negotiations. They were never agreed to be a secret.

If a negotiation fails, all parties are proprietors of the effort and can do what they please with it.

SNP has chosen to hide it from the People of Seychelles.

I Gill, as you refer, have chosen to be open to the People of Seychelles, because that is my style.

You SNP use fake profiles to state your points, I Gill, use my name.

You say I am not promoting my manifesto. You are wrong.

I am implementing the MSR manifesto when I call collaborators like Georges in selling patrimonial lands without tender, to task.

I am implementing MSR manifesto when I expose SPPF Sr. Collaborator and SNP Jr. Collaborator for shady deals with Khalifa, SIVA, Eden Island, others.

Since SNP cannot be salvaged at this point, we must shed light on it.

You say, I scrap the bottom of the barrel regarding family relations to connect the deals and scams. Yes, it happens too often and we Seychellois Rasin have had enough of being misled by political opportunists that only work to fill their pockets.

With regard to the leadership of SNP, pardon me, I never have been interested in leading any corrupted party. It is always better to start with a clean slate.
SNP like SPPF has too many skeletons in the closet.

Finally, your reference to bud out is quite offensive and strengthens my resolve. Seychelles belongs to all Seselwa Rasin, and no one has an exclusive engagement to decide our future. Every person has a right to participate in a nations affairs.

Freedom is our right, not your previlege.

King Artor said that, not me, SNP Roger the spinner.

Still Pathetic dudes!

1. Patrick Lablache is unlikely to be an SNP supporter. Rene put Lablache in the Ministry of Land Use and Habitat to look after Rene's interest and in charge of the Konblaz projects for obvious reasons.

2. Some months ago when Gill went out to the SNP convention i warned him. I must say i am tempted to say 'i told you so' and i will say Christopher Gill i told you so. The history of the SNP (and the SPPF) is filled with people of good intentions who have been used by the leaders.

3. I am unsure why anyone still believes that Ramkalawan is interested in removing the SPPF from power. He has admitted in a State of Nation address that he is not. What more do you people want?

In other words it is time to put the SNPL aside and start working alone(or united with others) with the sole goal of winning the coming election or the next. Whichever the goal may be, campaigning has to start NOW, not when Gappy decides to blow the whistle for the match to start.

Ramkalawan is NOT interested in wining any election, that has been proven for years now and it will not change. The man intends to clinch on to his position and status(popular or not) till he gets his nice pension at the cost of the taxpayers and live happily ever after.

DP is another huge joke, led by an ignorant who also seems to think that he can win an election based on the PL's lack of popularity and by posting badly written articles in LNSW on a 2-weekly basis or whenever he can be bothered. Typical for both DP and SNPL is that neither of the leaders trust anyone but themselves and want to run a one-man show. I believe the Seychellois have had enough of one-man shows.

Keep up the good work you Gills. If I had the right to vote you'd already have won it.

Just one question to the 'spin-doctor': Do you have happen to have a pet-mous that is about to make his presence any time now?

The obvious reality is that the opposition will never remove Parti Lepep if it divides the anti-Parti Lepep vote at the polls.

Those in position of responsibility must realise this and act appropriately.

I have read SNP's letter to Sheikh Khalifa regarding funding Parti Lepep. I was not sure whether SNP was warning Sheikh not to finance Parti Lepep or asking him to finance all political parties not just one party.

Chris Gill pe bez noy par fes and wants Wavel to throw him a lifeline.

The reason why Wavel and SNP will not take Gill or sa lot Voler in Volcere is plain and simple that they and their backers/financiers just cannot be trusted. Elizabeth made that very obvious when he did not toe the SNP Party line and crossed the floor to vote with the PL in the same way Gill crossed the floor in snubbing DP, the Party that put him there in the first place.

The truth as far as Wavel is concerned is that Gill is a rusty nail that has stuck out and only a hammer will dres li dan son plas en sel kou foutou. I hope you get my drift. TIKLO.

If Gill is a rusty nail acording to Ramkalawan, then what is Ramkalawan? A rusty shipwreck that has lost all its original paint and turned rust RED in colour.

Funny how the political strategy of both Gill & sppf look alike!

They all want father wavel to be remove as leader of the opposition!

One can only imagine that Gill wants the post badly to satisfy his own ego!

Sppf fear wavel will win next election if he stand as candidate in the next election!

My third theory is both Gill & sppf share the same sppf ideology that sppf must remain in power at all cost but the only way to do it is to remove wavel as leader!

I'll go with the 3rd!

Dr Maboule knows best!

I'd like to do a little test, how many of you who is reading this shit from seychelles & are potential voters?

No.

What we know if today, we did not know at the time Ramkalawan, Mancienne, Ferrari was meeting with me. I did notice they all kept on looking at their shoes when the spoke, and all maintained regular, beating eyes.

I asked Ramkalawan to give some oney from 38% salary increase back, to give him some credibility, he declined.

When Wavel asked for Scr. 10 Million to fund a campiagn which is very very high for the opposition camp, he moved his body around, in a little wiggle to left, wiggle to right.

Based on what I know today, these SNP are Junior Collaborators with SPPF in selling our patrimony, I would not touch them with a 10 foot pole like I will not touch PP with 10 foot pole.

Both have to go!

GOZYE is suffering from Narcissistic personality disorder....among other disorders...Dr Maboule says read this:

http://ceres.ca.gov/tcsf/pathways/chapter12.html#introduction

When narcissism perceives that it could lose control of a situation or process, it often feels threatened. The grandiosity's sense of omnipotence is being threatened. When this happens, narcissism's response can be one of character assassination of those who are threatening its objectives. The presence of character assassination is another way of detecting the presence of narcissism.

There is another important way to recognize narcissism. Narcissism is often contained in language through the use of "I". If a person listens carefully to another's use of "I" one can detect the grandiosity inside, the part speaking for the whole.

John Bull/Dr Maboulle/Manboulouk:

Many want Ramkalawan to resign as LOP, including members of his own party, i.e not just Gill and people like myself. It seems like the only ones who want Ramkalawan to stay is the PL and Ramkalawan himself, this for natural reasons. How about you John Bull, do you think Ramkalawan should stay? And if so, why do you think he should stay as LOP? Because of the great job he's doing keeping the PL in power?

Now note on thing: Nobody is asking the SNP to disappear from the face of the earth, merely that their so-called leader does the right thing and resigns.

Shame on you Christopher Gill, your comments above is not conducive to unity. This attitude is counter productive and will divide rather than unite, and this is what the sppf pl likes. How can a politician who crossed over to the sppf side be trusted? How much money did you receive from the sppf for your act? I am sure the DP would have picked up in the next election if it was not for your crossing the floor. Your action killed your own party and DP as you are aware has never recovered and will never recover from your betrayal. So who are you to point fingers at SNP or Wavel who has been fighting an oppressive system for over 15 years, take all sorts of abuse from the sppf, being sued by them for exposing their lies and finally being beaten by their henchmen for no reason. I remember the days when to be an snp suporter was taboo and a crime of the highest order in the eyes of the sppf and I believe that over the years it is Wavel and the opposition who has removed some of fear that the sppf had instilled in the population. (I believe in giving credit where credit is due) To claim that he has taken money from Kalifa, Siva, Eden Island and feathering his nests is defamatory. Did you expect him to work for nothing, to walk about in torn clothes, to live in a CI sheet house, is that why your comments are so denigrating of him? Haven't you built a guest house with the money you received from the sppf for crossing the floor and killing of the DP (dead party) must be on your consience. Your attitude is not consistent with building unity in the opposition, you are arrogant, self opinionated, aloof and pompus. You are not a charismatic leader, your command of the creole language which is essential to attract a crowd and hold their attention is lacking. You might be intelligent but intelligence alone is not sufficient in politics, you are very far from the likes of Barack Obama who rose from anonimity to prominance. He had the intelligence, the pursuasion and the charisma and people flocked to him like flies, so I would suggest you take a leaf from his book before you start critisizing the Wavel and the snp.

I remember vividly how Arpent Vert organised thugs to throw junk (including an old rusting 'bake') in his yard and printed photos of Manchams house in REGAR. Somebody told me they even burnt down his house?

I see that they very same lame excuses used to defend Mancham are being used now to try and defend Ramkalawan. Reminds me of the saying that wehn one leaves in glass houses don't throw stones.

Yes there was lot of mistake when we becames multiparty again. We was young and learning. But we have learn from our mistake and we want to move on and be positive for the people.

But Gill and his gang dont have any positives to propose so they stick to the easy cards of trying to make scandal and hatred. Then they cry when the scandal and hatred falls back on them.

Patrick X said...

Is there anyone in Seychelles who can stand up and say they havn't thrown stones before or deserved to have stones thrown at them?

I think Ramkalawan did well in the early years after the multi-party system was re-introduced as did Mancham even though many says he did it all for the money. Then again, Mancham had to my opinion every right to come back and reclaim what was his as does any Seychellois who lost their land and assets after the cowardly coup on 1977.

Nevertheless, both parties failed horribly after an election or two and Mancham even sustained from participating in one election i recall coming up with some lame reason. Ramkalawan even said publically that he was happy he didn't win. Be tou sa la pa y demande ganny beze ek ros?

So to many peoples' opinion, such politicians should not be in ploitics, but resign and spend their days writing memoires, not keep on taking the public for a ride pretending that they want to win the coming election and at the same time do everything they can(or cannot) to not win.

I disagree a lot on the Gills' policies, but by hell do they have my respect for making their effort to straighten things up for the nation.

People out there wanted to hear something new and innovative; they want to hear from a new leader who talks to them and sees new direction to solve the current issues affecting our country to move forward. Reply to accusations of wanting Wavel Ramkalawan to live in CI sheet house. This is false. He couldlive in adecent house of any decent man, if the money was earned from the People, fairly.

He has simply crossed that line. I need not repeat myself.

The Public must be attentive when any politician crosses that line.

SPPF have done so aswell.

I know you SNP fanatics take issue with me. But you deal with what I say today, fundamentally, because you did not have the courage to deal with your leadership yourself.

If you love Seychelles, deal with it. Choice is yours: love your party to death or love Seychelles.

SPPF is happy with the status quo of weak leadership. Wake up.

I knew this article would bend some people out of shape, so the next one focuses on IMF.

You Tiklo, and other SPPF, be cool, keep your nerves,SNP, regain compsure of yourselves.

The future of Seychelles is hanging on the balance, and you helped SPPF put it there.

Christopher Gill

This article shows acts of transparency and as Gill indicated, there were no agreements of secrecy. It is very clear that there is a lot of bad blood whilst there was much effort on Gill’s part to rise above the bad blood which most of time have been carefully manipulated from the SPP camp. This is now all revealed and we had the right to know this information at this point. Now, this love-hate affair should become part of history.
Gill you should never forget that the men and women who have shaped and defined this world faced more lows before they eventually emerged as the people of the time. They will call you names and burn you to the post to discredit you cheaply.

It is time to move on for many of us, but most of us will not understand the new thinking and what is the real problem in the Seychelles. They see Green, Blue and Red and this cannot be changed overnight or even in 10 months. I hope it would, but this reality. With the present atmosphere SPP will win election again irrespective of their worst days and years in office and SNP with its present leadership will take another free ride even if they would fall in rating. However, as I indicated earlier and in my previous contributions it is now time to shape the future with a new leadership and forget about SNP which I and my family have sacrificed their life for. As you said “THIS IS IT”

Patrick X said...

Good points ID1. I have also predicted that the PL will win again either through popularity or lack of opposition. Ramkalawan's lack of response to unification, but willingness to recieve funds just about says it all and I sincerely hope that Christopher Gill has learned from Vox's 'I told you so' and now paves his won way up as support from DP is just about as likely as support from SNPL.

I will however again repeat that it is crucial to participate in the coming election. Not only to show muscle, but also to give people hope, hope that there are individuals who actually care and want the best for the country because both PL and SNPL are not very interested in the country, but rather themselves and their present positions.

As to campaigning prior to the coming election or protesting against whatever one may like to protest again, I can see that the PL is now ready to crack down any such as the Police announced in Nation today that any gathering of more than 3 people in a public place is illegal and that they will crack down on any such.

Christopher Gill has his style, he has his style of writing. He gets angry at times. But can anyone accuse Christopher Gill of intentionally hurting he fellow man.Let us contextualise:

Albert Rene and James Michel has been part of a govt which intrumentalised the killing of many people: Gerard Hoareau, Hassan Ali, Mike Asher, Simon Desnousse and many more.

Wavel Ramkalawan beat up a fellow member of the National Assembly Barry Faure, broke his nose and sent him to the hospital and Daniel Teeroomoljee an SPPF sympathiser (a nuissance i must admit), and that even before he came to power. So let us just imagine if Ramkalawan was the President and had the apparatus of state at his disposal (the police, the army) imagine what he would have done to his critics?

My question to the people of Seychelles, is what kind of leaders do you want, because this is what you deserve!

I warned Gill. He said all along he wanted to give Ramkalawan/SNP a chance and that despite the way they behaved vis a vis the NDPs. I believe Gill wasted time engaging the SNPs. I also believe that they are beyond salvation, you cannot make a pact with the devil and expect to get away scot free. In 2007 when watching television and seeing Ramkalawan and Michel hugging and talking in each other's ears in the District Administration District of St Louis, i knew then that this does not augure well for the Seychelles. We have seen that since then the SNP has only thrown soft punches, similarly to boxing match whch we know have been fixed and the boxers are just going through the motions.

I too disagree with many of the policies propounded by MSR and Gill. But i also believe that they are the only ones presently worth giving a vote to in an election. Do they have what it takes to go all the way? Time will tell. In the meantime i pray that God keeps him safe, because fighting SPPF and SNP is not easy task as both are known to indulge in actions that dishonour mankind.

AS all have been tried, proposed, done to help RAM tochange course it suffice to say that RAM has failed to do so, then we must take him for his words namely that he is not apt to becoming President.

The question to RAM is, what the damm you doing at the head of the opposition then? And to the members of his party why have you not forced RAM out if you serious?

Jeanne d'Ark who is Chris? Christ the saviour! Jeanne d'ark aka Christopher Gill as Dr. Maboulle says: nacissism is one of your personality disorder.
Narcissism, as in excessive or erotic interest in oneself and one's physical appearance.

• Psychology; extreme selfishness, with a grandiose view of one's own talents and a craving for admiration, as characterizing a personality type.

• Psychoanalysis; self-centeredness arising from failure to distinguish the self from external objects, either in very young babies or as a feature of mental disorder.

Someone with Narcissistic Personality disorder (NPD) has at least 5 of these symptoms:

has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)
is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
believes that he or she is "special" and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)
requires excessive admiration
has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations
is interpersonally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends
lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others
is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her
shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes

Dear John Bull,
Pleasure is mine to explain to you the disorders of the Gozye brothers/

Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD)

Basic Principles

Narcissistic patients try to sustain an image of perfection and personal invincibility for themselves and attempt to project that impression to others as well. Those with narcissistic personality disorder project an inflated sense of self because underneath that image of grandiosity is really an insecure person with very low self-esteem. The grandiose image is a way to protect themselves from fearing that others will find out that they have weaknesses and imperfections just like everyone else.

The DSM IV diagnosis of narcissistic personality tends to be more common in men than women. Because of their inflated sense of self importance, narcissists tend to be driven to achieve high levels of accomplishments. It is common to find narcissistic personalities amongst politicians, wealthy businessmen, movie producers, surgeons, and trial attorneys. The illusion of "greatness" they project to others is most commonly shattered by some substantial threat to their ego such as a physical illness, loss of a job, loss of a relationship, or depression when sensing that their lives are actually quite empty even though they may have acquired much material success. This loss precipitates a panicky sensation that "my world is falling to pieces," and the patient feels that his/her life is unraveling.

Psychotherapy

Most psychiatrists will, as a practical matter, treat most of their severely narcissistic patients for symptoms related to crises and relatively external Axis I diagnoses, rather than in an effort to address the personality disorder itself. The therapist must be aware of the importance of narcissism in helping to sustain the patient's self image, of refraining from confronting the need for self-aggrandizement, and of helping the patient use his or her narcissistic characteristics to develop a self-image based upon genuine positive self esteem rather than out of fears of inadequacy. Those patients who do not terminate treatment after symptom relief has been obtained may wish to receive help for some of the problems related to their personality disorder, such as interpersonal difficulties or depression.
Maybe you will not even have to give them a rope!

Interesting post and it shows that Gill had the courage to meet with SNP leaders and tried to get the ball rolling so to speak on uniting a disjointed opposition.

The question remains: What is SNP's leadership doing to win the votes of the DP supporters and other citizens who are simply fed up with party politics? My guess is that they are working house to house trying to convince SPPF-Party Lepep supporters to vote for them because James Michel and his bunch of idiots are useless.

But guess what? I believe that those SPPF supporters will say yes when SNP meets with them, and then come election time when a few thousand rupees exchange hands,we will be back to square one. A win for Pary Lepep because of the money they will spend to remain in power.

One point made here is financial support for elections. Let us just say that Mukesh Valabhji, Albert Rene and Ramadoss put up one million dollars each. That's 3 million dollars of 36 million rupees. Now, where is Wavel's and SNP's financiers? Who will give money to Wavel or SNP when Wavel has said he does not want to become President of the country? Who wants to back a losing party when the starting gun has not even been fired?

So in summary, SNP cannot and will not win the next election for two simple reasons. Not enough money, and an SNP leader who cannot raise funds for a presidential let alone legislative campaign.

As for me, I am voting for Boulle because he wants a better seychelles for all of us and not interested in party politics. Unless Gill runs. If he does, I will vote for him to send a loud message to SPPF that there is really an OPPOSITION out there.

Dr Maboulle says Gozye is a psyco manipulator .

How to identify manipulators and how they control their victims:

manipulative techniques:
Lying: It is hard to tell if somebody is lying at the time they do it although often the truth may be apparent later when it is too late. One way to minimize the chances of being lied to is to understand that some personality types (particularly psychopaths) are experts at the art of lying and cheating, doing it frequently, and often in subtle ways.
Lying by omission: This is a very subtle form of lying by withholding a significant amount of the truth. This technique is also used in propaganda.
Denial: Manipulator refuses to admit that he or she has done something wrong.
Rationalization: An excuse made by the manipulator for inappropriate behavior. Rationalization is closely related to spin.
Minimization: This is a type of denial coupled with rationalization. The manipulator asserts that his or her behavior is not as harmful or irresponsible as someone else was suggesting, for example saying that a taunt or insult was only a joke.
Selective inattention or selective attention: Manipulator refuses to pay attention to anything that may distract from his or her agenda, saying things like "I don't want to hear it".
Diversion: Manipulator not giving a straight answer to a straight question and instead being diversionary, steering the conversation onto another topic.

Anonymous said...

.........

Evasion: Similar to diversion but giving irrelevant, rambling, vague responses, weasel words.
Covert intimidation: Manipulator throwing the victim onto the defensive by using veiled (subtle, indirect or implied) threats.
Guilt tripping: A special kind of intimidation tactic. A manipulator suggests to the conscientious victim that he or she does not care enough, is too selfish or has it easy. This usually results in the victim feeling bad, keeping them in a self-doubting, anxious and submissive position.
Shaming: Manipulator uses sarcasm and put-downs to increase fear and self-doubt in the victim. Manipulators use this tactic to make others feel unworthy and therefore defer to them. Shaming tactics can be very subtle such as a fierce look or glance, unpleasant tone of voice, rhetorical comments, subtle sarcasm. Manipulators can make one feel ashamed for even daring to challenge them. It is an effective way to foster a sense of inadequacy in the victim.
Playing the victim role ("poor me"): Manipulator portrays him- or herself as a victim of circumstance or of someone else's behavior in order to gain pity, sympathy or evoke compassion and thereby get something from another. Caring and conscientious people cannot stand to see anyone suffering and the manipulator often finds it easy to play on sympathy to get cooperation.
Vilifying the victim: More than any other, this tactic is a powerful means of putting the victim on the defensive while simultaneously masking the aggressive intent of the manipulator.
Playing the servant role: Cloaking a self-serving agenda in guise of a service to a more noble cause, for example saying he is acting in a certain way for "obedience" and "service" to God or a similar authority figure.
Seduction: Manipulator uses charm, praise, flattery or overtly supporting others in order to get them to lower their defenses and give their trust and loyalty to him or her.
Projecting the blame (blaming others): Manipulator scapegoats in often subtle, hard to detect ways.
Feigning innocence: Manipulator tries to suggest that any harm done was unintentional or did not do something that they were accused of. Manipulator may put on a look of surprise or indignation. This tactic makes the victim question his or her own judgment and possibly his own sanity.
Feigning confusion: Manipulator tries to play dumb by pretending he or she does not know what you are talking about or is confused about an important issue brought to his attention.
Brandishing anger: Manipulator uses anger to brandish sufficient emotional intensity and rage to shock the victim into submission. The manipulator is not actually angry, he or she just puts on an act. He just wants what he wants and gets "angry" when denied.

Opposition Parties

Criticisms without proffering solutions only strengthen the hands of incumbent party. The country needs political leaders that provide alternatives that brigde existing chasms and solve problems that have mired the country from moving forward.

The void that oppositon parties occupy,is one that only those organizations can fill.Oppostion parties,if functional, have the capacity to serve as the outlets through which citizens who feel unrepresented and underserved by the ruling government are empowered to give voice to their political aspirations and expectations.

The ineffectiveness of the oppostion parties,so far,has not exclusively being the product of external forces, rather its own fragmentation. All to frequently the divided oppostion parties have been unable to form coalitions. In such a climate, and given the overwhelming need to overcome the ruling party, many wondered whether the oppostion parites played any role than legitimizing the dictatorial tendencies of the ruling party, thus making one-party rule a norm.

Characteristically, oppostion political parties,to date, have proven to be just as undemocratic as the government that they criticze.Emerging rights advocates have lost confidence in their leaders as they watch their successive missteps. One irrefutable fact remains:the country is still searching for principled advocates for change that are unhinged from the bygone political oppositon leaders"whose results are only substandard and disappointed".

We have watched the days, weeks, months unfold as the oppositon parites unconsciously create another circumstance un which a one-party rule might become the norm. The way it was for Rene era might be the way it will be for Michel and for the future,if opposition parites fail to change course.

Hence, the way forward is clear. The opposition parties must unite and find common ground if the really want to bring about real change. It must not be teams trying to work together, but it must be teams trying to form one strong oppostion that can win election.

They must get out of this vicious circle of division that is paralizing them from moving forward.

there are of course, differneces in emphasis, style and the issues they chose to highlight. These differences are not so great that they cannot be overcome. And they are not so important that they should not prevent them from joining forces to save our country from reeling back and forth between dictatorial rule.

It is all about building a political force that can hold the government accountable where it really counts-"at the ballotbox".If the oppositon parties unite and build a formidable oppostion formation, the people of this country will vote for it.

After all,the ultimate objective of the oppostion is not merely to oppose government, but rather to defeat the government and provide an alternative of its own.In the uncertain political atmophere that reign in the country today,to reach this goal, unity seems indisputably the path to follow.Failing to unite will be a blank check for the ruling party to rule the country indefinitely, thus prolong the suffering of the people.

But we don have an opposition in the 'opposition' as SNP has become SNPL. So those voting for Ramkalawan are indirectly voting for Michel and may as well vote for Michel in the first place.

Maybe that is what is needed, i.e that SNP gets so little votes that they are ousted out from assembly. Maybe then a new true opposition can be created and function as opposition. After all, what do the SNP MNAs do anyway? Pretty much f**k-all. These guys guys can't even get rid of their useless leader so how the hell will they be able to even solve national let alone international issues?

MSR came on the scene one year before elections. Even today it is not a political party.

MSR wants opposition to unite with MSR manifesto, yet MSR is only one man and a lot of pseudonym.

MSR is busy campaigning to bring down the government and the leader of opposition, BUT IT DOES NOT CAMPAIGN TO BECOME REGISTERED.

SEEMS MSR IS HAPPY FOR GAPPY TO SIT ON THE APPLICATION........WHY?

ARE YOu SERIOUS ABOUT THE ELECTION??

So Jeanne D'arc you preach of unity but you act to divide opposition and let PL win elections.

I do not think that multi party is inconsistent with democracy? Is it?

Is it not up to the Leader of the Opposition Ramkalawan's responsibility to unite the opposition around him?

When UO/Ramkalawan was a small party they offered a coalition to Mancham/DP, Mancham scoffed at the idea referring to them as a small group. Ramkalawan is behaving the very same way the Mancham behaved.

Gill/MSR has nothing to lose. They at this point represent 0% of the electorate not having participated in an election. If they participare and get one vote they would have gained in support. Gill/MSR can only go up. Probably MSR will back Boulle in the Presidential.

Now if Rasmkalawan/SNP persists (and all indications indicate that he will) in going alone, he will lose a consecutive 5th or is it 6th (i can't rememeber how many Presidential elections he has lost), come Assembly elections SPPF will have a walk over. Lest we forget the Presidential elections comes first. Last time Ramkalawan scored 45%, whislt logic would have better that, he will not.

It may be a war of words on the internet, but on the ground it is a totally different matter. Talk to anyone in town and they will tell you nothing differentiates the political players as they all 1. thieves and 2. filling their pockets.

Vox ,i preach for unity, but unity must be put in practice by political parties which are already registered in order that unity can work.I am begging those at the head of oppostion parties to get the force together as a concerned citizen among many others who are sharing the same opinion.
MSR is a movement not yet a registered party this doesn't mean that it cannot share its opion .

Compare to the oppostion parties,Michel seems to be more concerned by MSR than the oppostion that he regularly mentioned it in his speeches and the reason behind that is because he has indentified where the real threat for his communist party is coming from.

RAM is an idividual and should not be the duplicate of someone else otherwise he will lost his own dignity ,and a serious politican must also be able adapt and be responsive to the present situation before hand not live in the past otherwise he will end up being the clone of Michel.

Since Michel declared our country bankrupted for instance,, Jam has not stop from preparing a manifesto for RAM that can be decisive in this election:Bankruptcy, land illegal gifted to foreigners, environment destruction,.u$2,5 billion missing and so on but it seem RAM still doesn't see that.

All in all ,i think RAM is just happy being at the helm of SNP to make himself a good living nothing else.

likwise,a few months ago RAM told us PP doesn't want to give his party permission to hold a rally, then why not do like La Misere resident? and why for instance he did not use La Misere protest to canvass his own political position?

Moreover

Furthermore, every year thousands of Hindu workers who have nothing to do in our country illegally march our streets in Hindu religious proccession-if those Hindus who are not even Seychellois can blocked and walked in our streets why can RAM do the same?As a Seychellois and leader of the main oppostion party in this country he has a constitutional right to do so, instead of complaining giving us the impression that he can't do anything against it.It is PP decision not to allow rallies that is illegal not his constitutional right to protest. If he is seriuos take to the streets and then we the people will come to support him.

Naturally the PL(inckudubg their subsidiary SNPL) see MSR as a threat, not only as a political opponent, but also as an eye-opener towards the people.

It is to me and many others that the so-called opposition declines to cooperate with a political movement that has gaine enormous popularity, so far 'only' on the internet, but also amongst people not connected to the net. The evidence of the PL's fear of MSR is crystal-clear as James Michel cannot hold a speech without directly or indirectly mentioning MSR and their 'racist' attitude. This is coming from a man who supported the 'yankee go home' slogan a mere 3 decades ago.

Everybody is expecting Ramkalawan to take the first step into unifying the opposition, but waiting for RAM to do so one may as well wait for snow to fall on Morne Seychellois. This is just a lame excuse to keep the opposition split and I believe Chris Gill did the right thing by giving Ramkalawan a deadline, one which he defaulted on. Some may ask why Gill had to do it as if it is his business and to that I say beacuse it is his business as it is the business of every Seychellois to do what is best for the country.

Ramklawan will never lift a finger to make the effort to win any election. Never! Therefore iti s the duty of anyone who has the balls to face JAM & Co to ally themselves and form what we havn't had since 1977: a political movement that is in the interest of Seychelles.

Firstly,we Seychellois find it hard to accept criticisms, too often instead of getting to the core of things we lose our rag to rapidly.

Critism has two sides,on one hand it can be destructive and on the over hand constructive. The latter is what we doing. Now RAM and supportors are angry of being cricitised instead of asking themselves why all these criticisms. If RAM takes a little moment of reflection he will soon come to the conclusion that he is the source of those criticisms and if he does notwant to be criticized the solution is simple he must deliver. The truth is RAM has remained spinx-like amid the numurous entreaties to unite the opposition.

The economy is not booming. The pictures of Khalifa palace at la Misere or Raffle hotel on Praslin show one thing the destruction of environemnt.Likwise,if the economy is booming howcome that PP has stared paying back the astromic debts Its created and our debts still climbing? If our economy is booming why is it that more people are being unemployed and getting poorer?

The only businesses booming are those of Savy brothers and the reason why they are booming is because of Tax payers money gifted to them by PP not profit they made by doing good businesses.

Again MRS is not yet a party but its influence in the nation is bringing about a change in mentality.La Misere protest is a good example.

The remarkable things with Seychelles politics is that everyone knows what is happening in every politician’s rooms, where they go and what they do. The most implausible news is sometime you having dinner, or giving your tactics to your immediate opponent. These techniques are well cast more than you ever imagine. Of course there No way around it, that is why we must be innovative in our mindset and adopt the concept of reconciliation, otherwise if we keep on with this style of politics it will only brings confrontation, intimidation and retaliation, imagine what type of opposition this country will have if PL lost the coming election or what type of Government Seychelles will have if opposition wins. We are not ready for this,,, first lets unify the people, lets put Seychelles first and lets start to forgive by reconcile. Remember Seychelles is like a village everyone almost a relatives or having some kind of connection, it would be unfair to judge some and forgetting the others because of close relationship. That is why reconciliation is paramount to the benefit of Seychelles ‘’ lets write a new page in our history’’ This is the way forward.

When i analyse what has been achieved by the Opposiiton (from Mancham to Wavel) since 1993 i see absolutely nothing:

1. People still lives in a state of fear, hiding benind pseudos. Scared of the SPPF and even more scared of the SNPs. So are we any nearer to removing the shackles of fear? I do not think so.

2. The Opposition (combined) electoral scores have remained 43% be it in Presidential or Legislative.

3. The SBC, reading Bernard Georges artciles in Regar in 2010, might have been written in 1993. No change whatsoever.

4. No forex problem. The shops are full with imports, but GDP has been falling. Real Growth is in the negative. That is not the fault of the Opposition.

5. When i look the improvement in the lives of the Opposition Leaders (from Mancham to Wavel) they seem to have done really good for themselves. Mancham has built his Glacis sur Mer, Ramkalawan Chateau St Louis and Chalets.

There leaves little doubt as who have benefited.

Remember a lot of people are reading your comments and are not portraying good image. Reconciliation is a hard medication to swallow but that is the only option to heal our nation. Revenge, persecution, accusation, jealousy and intimidation are all parasites that should be left behind and start looking forward to unite the people together …….. I don’t see you guys doing an effort to unite the people, in fact more hatred and division is being manifested.
For the past 10 years I was sharing the same thoughts as you guys, and then I realize these thoughts will not do any good for Seychelles, because I’ve learned to appreciate and love my country more than those opportunists. Seychelles deserve better, we have all the potential to rise up and be a nation of peace, unity and prosperous. For example, look at the present state of our family values, our school, our police force and our Healthcare, the only way these sectors can excel is by uniting the nation hence they can be part in the protection and make contribution for continuous improvement, one man or a small group alone cannot do it. Without reconciliation we cannot talk about working together. Reconciliation simply means reconcile and start fresh. I am not supporting anyone I’m only for a United Republic of Seychelles. Now neither you understand me or you keep on with your unusual debate.

The country must evolve and it must effect change. Reconcilation cannot be offered by the oppressed.

When it is, it becomes capitulation.

If that is the case, we may as well shut down the opposition and start sending in applications for residency in Canada.

Change is hard, never easy. But it must be done. The road is hard and not easy, with few luxuries, but that is the price we must pay for change.

In my opinion, because Mancham was in fact deposed, and his family suffered under Rene badly, and they were displaced, through a systematic program to destroy them, Mancham has a valid claim and defense as far as being made whole.

Ramkalawan in my opinion, has been a simple person cum preist, cum opportunist, and no one saw it until it was too late for SNP.

The fanatics around him, look for every excuse to justify a preist cum millionaire, in a chateau syndrome.

Bottom line is this: he has used the plight of the opposition to benefit himself and has failed to bring about change.

We are putting Seychelles first ehen we bring out pp's misconducts-from ourv u$2,5 billions, delokaka, ilegal land sold to Khalifa for one devaluated rupee, illegal selling of our passports etc,etc and etc.

Note URS,the communist party of PP since multi-parties were allowed ,was never concerned about opposition parties in this country because they were not a danger for the communist system, but since MSR exist pp is having a headache and living in fear of collapsing then ever.

It is indeed tempting to take the easy way and say let by-gones by by-gones, but try and see it from the point of view of those who have really felt the heat and are still doing so on a daily basis and I'm sure you'll see the rage that is inside them in addition to the hatred of the regime and their main ally, ref the SNPL.

It is vital that the truth not only comes out of the woodwork, but also dealt with in a transparent and correct way so that the world recognizes us a decent nation that does not tolerate the kind of crap that is tolerated elsewhere on continental Africa or other places for that matter.

We want investors to come and join hands with us and at the same time we are allowing a Manboulouk practice, hence attracting the short term investors instead of coming clean and attracting the long term ones who believe in mutual potential, not just their potential.

You may say let us unite and forget, but think about what kind of signal that is giving to the population in general. That it is ok to practice Manboulouk and then get forgiven for it at a later date? That is is ok for our leaders to take bribes and play unfair as long as everyone gets their share of the cake?

The PL has corrupted our nation and is bringing us down to the level that is comon to see in the parts of the world we attract 'investors' from and it is time to make the prime decision wether or not to clean up or to continue to live like thieves and dishonest individuals. I'm sure you, like myself, were brought up to believe in honesty being the best policy and I'm also sure that you would lilke your children to believe in the same. Now if we turn a blind eye and 'forget', that will not be possible as our coming generations will merely continue to practice what has been practiced sine 1977 and we will NEVER prosper as a successful nation but as a Banana Republic run by monkeys, in other words as we are presently.

The easy way out here is not an option. Action must be taken and the culprits must face the consequences of their actions. If we allow them to get away with it, we have then indirectly accepted their wrong-doings and hence put ourselves at their level.

When a fugitive wanted by the long arm of the law in his native country is granted asylum with priveleges in another country for so to be chased away when he no longer wants to share his wealth with the government that welcomed him in the first place, then I have reason to accuse of corruption. The corruption of our country started with a Gran Blan with the same skin colour as myself or therabouts so am I racist for saying so? Do you want me to go on?

To Christopher Gill and Co MSR....

GOD IS THE CREATOR OF ALL HUMAN BEINGS.

The apostle Paul spoke of "the God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth," declaring that this God is the One who "made from one every nation of men to live on all the face of the earth..." (Acts 17:24,26). He proclaims that God created out of one man all members of the human family, established their place in human history, and desires that they all seek him (Acts 17:27). All of humanity owes its origin to God's creative act.

Any and all attempts to identify certain people or groups as some how lesser members of humankind are therefore a blasphemous affront to our Creator. Likewise, any affirmations of superiority or comparative worth that are based on differences in the nature of persons as human beings are to be regarded as an indictment of God's work as Creator.

You'll see racism in practice when Khalifa refuses to employ a single Seychellois on his property once it's finished.

And speaking of racism, I believe there is a bit of that in India too where Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims are killing eachother regularly like they've been doiong since the partition.

Oh yes, then there the racism which Michel practices when he gives foreigners more rights than Seychellois, more jobs and more opportunities. Is that not a form of racism too?

GOD SENT HIS SON JESUS CHRIST TO BE THE SAVIOR OF ALL HUMAN BEINGS, IN WHATEVER NATION OF CULTURE THEY MAY BE FOUND.

God "desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all..." (1 Timothy 2:3-6). Again and again in Revelation, we read that God in Jesus Christ has completed His work of salvation for and in all kindreds, peoples, languages and nations (Revelation 5:8-9; 7:9,10; 11:9; 13:7; 14:6; 17:15). Racism stands in opposition to the gospel revealed in Scripture, according to which God has acquired the forgiveness of sins for all people by declaring that the world for Christ's sake has been forgiven. God's love for the world is indiscriminate and embraces people of all cultures.

THROUGH THE MEANS OF GRACE, GOD EMPOWERS CHRISTIANS "TO ABSTAIN FROM THE PASSIONS OF THE FLESH THAT WAGE WAR AGAINST THE SOUL," INCLUDING THE SIN OF RACISM.

The gospel makes us new creatures through the Holy Spirit, enabling us to discard the sins of the unregenerate life (1 Peter 1:12, 22-23; 2:1-3). Just as speaking evil of others, quarreling, malice and hatred toward others was far from the mind of Christ, so, too, the minds of those regenerated in Baptism are to be free from such evils. Likewise, the Lord's Supper unites us to the full and complete humanity of Him who is the Creator of all and the Savior of all.

We Christians must not underestimate the evil of racism in the human heart, but we are to return daily in repentance to the Christ who loves us, so that also in this matter the victory of Christ's own grace and love may be manifested in our personal lives.

Should you require some ASSistance in the type of Kite you wish to fly, I have it from reliable scources from within Parti Lepep that ou deux Dallon Vox and Boitesic-X are Leaders in the Art of Serengol and Poisson Cervolan design and making.

Just be warned that John Bulli Beef Boy will be launching his too. It might be wise to note that his special design is equiped with un gran la ke full of lamsons and sa leekee cervolan a la Bulli, nek nek nek nek i bez kout-tet a tou kou foutou and you won't stand a chance Rassinist Gill.

Have a good day. Ki Kreole Laid O

My point of focus had been put aside and again you guys started insulting each other, this is not my nature. I would like to ask you guys Jeanne d'arc, Christopher, Vox and Patrick these few Questions

If your children are in need of your support and assistance to face a new challenge

A: spend your time telling yours kids about Mancham, Rene, Michel, and wavel

B; Start insulting names in front of your kids and getting out of control

C: show weaknesses and claiming on past issues, or fighting you had with Mr so and so

D: or tell your kids ''first we must get those responsible to payback, and remove them out of the way.

Guys your kids will grow older and still waiting; they will then detest you for the rest of their lives for not meeting their needs, Seychelles will also suffer the same. Politics and attitudes of all leaders and thinkers must change direction, we must come with new ideas let alone the oppressor at the end they will give up, and reconciliation will take place.

I have faith that one day you guys will be sitting together discussing and find new way forward

I'd go for a re-organized option D. Get them out of the way, then punish the pricks.

And that is exactly what Gill trying to do, but is being worked against by all parties, including that pratt who is supposed to be leader of the opposition.

Again that's exactly what those bastards are afraid of and will do ANYTHING to stay in power to save their sorry asses.

And Gill must start with his own father who know the coup de tat plan and send his children away before. He must acknowledge to the people that his father was a traitor by keeping silence. He must beg forgivness for him. He must pay moral damage to Rasin with the estate of his father for the stress and hardship caused by this betrayal.

And the big white Patrick X must pay the backpay to the slaves and exploit workers for all the work done for his families till 1977. He must use the rate of British worker adjust to today for inflation and GDP growth as we was a British colony and wonderful life for all.

And the Hoarau family must fall on knees and beg forgiveness for sending RHODESIAN WHITE SUPREMIST to KILL RASIN DAVID ANTAT ON SACRED RASIN SOIL.

All this are also justice for past crime and stealing that must be put right before they is forgiven by the people.

So where you want to go from here Patrick X? Option D for all? Or like the great Nelson Mandela guided Option A and reconsilation?

Anonymous said...

And one more point. Before you say all was forgiven 1976 just remember majority victim vote for SPUP and majority oppressor vote for DP so victim even if majority have no say on this "all forgiven" shit of 1976.

Patrick X said...

I'm still going for my D. Ler nou pou pann zot par zot grenn wa konnen sa kalite D.

Excuse me saying so, but one cannot be punished for the doings of one's family. However, here we're talking about punishing the ones who have done dirty deeds and are still doing so, ref the party cronies in the Parti Langet. James Michel has taken part in murder and other illegalities, harrasment etc not to mention corruption and theft of public funds.

Would you reconsiliate with the murderer of your brother or other family member? I think in that case you'd also go my D-version.

And for the record, the land belonging to my family was purchased with money that was worked hard for and that same land was developed and fed my ancestors. Can all the PL tops say the same about the land in their ownerhship? Was that also paid for by hard earned cash or stolen cash?

And you want me to for for A? Get lost mate.

You really make people laugh you think you can make all the rules! The spoils of crime remain just that even if the criminal hand it over to his children and grand children.

Yes I can forgive as I am a REAL Christian. Not the kind who just use the name of Christ to justify racist arrogance superior.

Your family land was worked hard for yes, by the slaves and exploited workers also. Its time they were compensate fairly and was granted size of land just like White settler was granted for FREE.

So Patrick X if you want D, it is sad for Sesel but BRING IT ON, there are many debts to settle and we end like Zimbabwe.

Patrick X said...

I don't just want D, I want Double D! You say you can forgive? Thei I suggest that you start by forgiving yourself for being so naive in believing in your reconciliation.

Sorry mate, but your crap about forgiveness as about as good as the water that Khalifa's workers polluted. Go over at La Misere and ask the people there to settle for anything less than option D.

I guess you also feel that Ramkalawan's ass kissing is also a form of reconciliation right? To me that's more like retialtion and chickening out and that will cost him another defeat(as if he ever wanetd to win anyway).

We believe in Democracy and in order that the engine of democracy works a 100 percent .we us make sure thaall parts of the engine functions, and one part of this engine is called JUSTICE.Thus criminals who have comitted crimes against their people will be punished.

Those criminals have had several occassions to alter their wicked way they have opted not to change ,so we will change them.

URS,
I don^t think your family was a victim of PP atrocities but for those who did reconciliation will mean capitulation and give criminals the right to go unpunished.Victims and criminals can^t be treated the same.

Of course there are some in the system who were not involve in crimies but participate to keep PP in power, they will be dealt with differently.

I comment on a valid point raised by an anonymous in which he says
“..and the Hoarau family must fall on knees and beg forgiveness for sending RHODESIAN WHITE SUPREMIST to KILL RASIN DAVID ANTAT ON SACRED RASIN SOIL.”

While I am not here to explain and justify the event, I provide this person clear references details of why and what happened and why David Antat became an unfortunate victim, a victim of the original root of all evil by Albert Rene. None of this needed to happen, if there was no greed by one men and a small gang headed by J.Michel.

Perhaps, it is the family of Hoareau who needs an answer because Gerald Hoareau was later assassinated, murdered in London under strange circumstances linked with none other than A.Rene. A. Guess waht, Rene was the one who benefited again from that with 3 Million USD from South Africa.

To ID1:

Milestone is always set with political agenda. Let me explain.

You say this fight start in 1977 and it is not yet finish. This is your story.

We can say the fight start in 1777 when European begin to steal the land and life of people in this region.

You will say that story finish in 1976.

But we can say the injustice carry on in 1972 with corrupt election.

We can say it all finish in 1992 with multi-party.

You can say the injustice carry on because SPPF control election of 1994.

We can say things of second republic was of the time when world had cold war. You can say its not an excuse and nobody was brought to justice.

You can say things of slavery and oppression was of the colonial time. We can say its not an excuse and nobody was brought to justice.

So really ID1 we are only debating when each particular wants to start and end the story depending on our agenda.

SO.......

With this it is interesting that the opposition choose the last WHITE colonial country in the world to live when they leave Seychelles.

It is important to remember that they plot with a WHITE SUPREMIST government to regain control of Seychelles.

It is important to recognise that they send only WHITE mercenary to fight against Seychellois.

So this is why I think the choice before us is either South Africa of 2010 or Zimbabwe of 2010.

Follow your chosen path of conflict and I assure you we find the second.

Help Seychelles and Africa by developing the democratic system through evolution not revolution.

Participate in our developing democracy, don't fight it and dismantle it.

Anonymous said...

I share some of your arguments, but today many people want change in the country and this has not really happened yet. So, it will be wrong to do a coup even if it was possible. we have time. we shall wait..

Concerning your last argument I totally disagree that there is any real effort to allow equal right and opportunities in participation to bring this country forward. You can simply look around you, look very closely who is in charge above certain positions throughout the government and how did they get there. The government is being run by only SPP loyalist..nothing more.. nothing less. no one will convince me I am wrong on this one..thats real fact and this is what needs to change.

Id1

Patrick X said...

Indeed ID1!

The SPUP/SPPF/PL has always operated under the principle that one should not necessarily put the right person in the right job, but the loyal person whatever his/her qualifications are. And if a loyal one cannot be found, loyalty can always be purchased either at home or abroad.

The case of the SNP turning SNPL is the prime and foremost example of this practice.

Patrick X

Well ID1 I am glad we can agree on something. But something also puzzle me. How can we say the foreigner is invading and we have no time to spare, then we also say we can afford to lose election as we have time and another five years dont matters?

For your second point - what you observe in Seychelles you call loyalist people. Seychelles is a small economy. All big participant must be team player. It cannot afford one side to go away with ball if it dont like to play. So it is normal that responsible managements must work with the system to improve it. Now if people like St. Ange works with the system you call him collaborator and junior PL so your definition is self-defining no?

But the extremist oppositions you support also makes money with the government and PL. When they sign contract they dont say to PL thet they dont agree with it.

And remember when we talks about the issue 54% population have with opposition,it is about Racist and Superiority arrogance.

You play this racist card with foreigner and fabrike but it can also be play like boomerang on you and Patrick X who have well documented his racist views. Even if you force him to write some hypocrite article on his blog to pretend he is not racist.

Patrick X said...

Anonymous:

What exactly is racist about my blog? The fact that I see it wrong that a foreign national gains control of my country?

I'd be racist if I said that a certain group or race should be in control and/or hold others in control. Come to think of it, the ones that are racist in Seychelles are the Indian nouveau-riche class whom have a preference towards fellow Indians. Our government has also had a tendency to practice a lighter form of racism towards its own people by giving foreigners priveleged rights.

In the Brazilian Oil & Gas sector they have laws that state that a certain percentage of any given project are to be Brazilian nationals. Is that racism or is that merely an act of national interest?

It believe we sould have similar laws in Seychelles, alas our government is more occupied about personal interest rather than national interest.

Here is my dispassionate two-pence worth on the electoral chances of the opposition. I wish Wavel would be elected in 2011 but sadly I do not see how this will happen at the moment.

We need to draw 2 lessons from recent elections in UK and Australia.

The UK Labour party went into an election with a leader that opinion polls were consistently saying would not win. These polls also said that a new leader would have improved Labour's chances a bit. We now know that that improvement would have been enough to keep Labour in power in a coalition with the Liberal Democrats. Labour persisted with its leader and the UK now has a Lib-Dem-Conservative coalition government.

In Australia, the ruling Labour party changed its unpopular leader in what was essentially a palace coup. Labour increased its popularity in the polls but by not enough to secure an overall majority. It is said that Labour did badly in areas where its former leader is popular and resent the way he was deposed.

The lesson is -- the opposition could win with a new leader but Wavel must actively support the new leader. Otherwise the leadership change will make no difference.

The opposition is really stuck in a groove -- it can't win with Wavel and it cannot win without him.

It looks like it will take a heroic act of statesmanship and courage for Wavel to get us out of this groove. I also think Parti Lepep will be stronger in 2016 if left in power. It does not look too good for the opposition for the next 11 years (including this year), unless of course someone falls on his sword.

Does anyone know if Wavel has a sword ?

Anonymous said...

One thing you left out in 2 cents is that Wavel behaviour is not just Wavel behaviour it is the wish and plan of the party. You people see SNP as a piece of wood with Wavel sitting on it. You think its only about knock Wavel off or move him aside and put somebody else there. Have you ask yourself if the party agree with that?

We are not a dumb property to be bought and sold.

That in fact is the key problem with the UK and Australian election, the leaders think they can cut deal and become left/right/center and carry party with them.

Lets see what happens to the Liberal Democrats who now seems to support taxing the poor more because its "fair" for the rich.

Patrick you try hard to hide it, but you see your prejiduce is always just on the tip of your tongue? Of course there are people of all race that are racist, that does not make it right. But in your arguments like the one above you consistently show a generalised low or degrading opinion of some races, thats why you are racist.

The reason that you should take a look at a Joana's Star - Craft 2 guide review is obvious. You must, however, practice auto-rotations at the flying field with the help of an instructor. If you are looking for some excitement beyond just flying, the Jane's series of combat
