Eyewitness News

Herewith below is an article by the Parti Lepep rag. In this year of elections, James Michel and Co are seeing ghosts. They are accusing two ladies who are keen to celebrate a milestone with family and friends for something that only the figment of their crazy imaginations can conjure up. There is no doubt from this piece of crap that they are running scared in the light of what is happening in North Africa and the Middle East. The Seyco & Regina Mundi ghosts still haunt them. Well, get used to free speech ghost writers of 'The People'. This is the age of Facebook & Twitter. No one can take the freedom of anyone away. We will express ourselves as much as we want. If it makes you all see ghosts, just too bad!!

Are May and Dora Forming A Political Platform Under Ex-Students Gathering?

A so-said friendly activity being organized by some individuals promoting themselves as former students of the Ex-Seychelles College and Regina Mundi Convent, last week took a different turn when the so-said organizers of the event finally came out with their true colours and started a full blast anti-government campaign over Facebook.

Facebook readers, specially the former students of the ex-Seychelles College and Regina Mundi Convent, were on Thursday February 10th 2011, shocked to discover that what had been projected and promoted over the web for the past months as an innocent student gathering programmed for the month of August this year in Seychelles, was in fact taking the shape and direction of an under guise political and anti government gathering and activity.

People we spoke to and who in the true name of friendship were anticipating to attend the gathering, expressed their total dissatisfaction with the turn of event and said that they were indeed shocked and saddened for having being taken for a ride by some individuals they described as political sadists.

The wild cat was let off the bag through a posting made by one “Dora” and the further conversations which followed suit between Dora and one “May”.

In the initial comment Scott in what she described as “Breaking News” stated that the entire of North Mahe was on total black out. According to her, there was no television transmission, telephone, fax and no email functioning within the region.

Few seconds, following what seemed to have been an innocent comment, came the master piece of the infamous conversation. In came May responding to Dora’s comment. The conversation then degenerated into anti-government declarations and improper remarks with political connotations vented at not only the government of the day but furthered in the direction and person of Sheikh Khalifa.

To try and spill the incorrect and false impression that Seychelles is the only place on earth where power cuts occur can be looked and categorized as being only a stupid and illiterate comment from people having nothing better to do.

But to make such statements as was the case of those made on Facebook, that the staff over at PUC and those over at the Coast Guard could not make proper use of the generators and boats the country received from the Sheikh as a gift to our country, is indeed an insult to the intelligence of our hard working fellowmen working in these institutions.

For the benefit of Dora and her good friend May, we the people of Seychelles would like to let you know that we are not the only place on earth where power cuts occur. It is a known fact that it occurs in even the most developed and rich countries.

We in Seychelles through our dedicated people over at PUC try our best to deal with our problems within a minimum time span whereas on the other hand, it is a known fact that in some countries, people have to live with power cuts and in certain cases not for hours but for days.

The only thing professional about People is their website. The rest is as unprofessional as it gets and is a so-caleld newspaper written by people who barely made it through NYS. So do not expect too much from those half-ileterates who can barely spell their own names.

These are the same arse-kissers who lick up to James Michel at every occasion on Facebook. They're so thick that tehy probably think it's called "Fesbook". You can even see their photos taken with a red background that they lack total imagination and cannot see the forest for all the trees.

I hope the reunion goes through as planned and the atendees have a good time. As to People, tehy should apologize for their ridiculous article full of paranoia. And these are the same ones who accuse others of xenophobia.

This sort of articles in the People trash newspaper is not worth and answer. They should turn around and look at themselves and the their JJ Spirit foundation, which they're at pains to convince us that its not a political organization. It's been set up to lure the youths of this country with material things in return for their votes, because they know it's the young people this time who will make or break them. But I'm sure the young people can see through their smoke screen.

It is a sad commentary on the lost skill of writing coherent English. I am very supportive of creating a new national language, Kreol, but not at the cost of learning the proper useage of a world language such as standard English. The writers of this diatribe need a decent editor to turn these incoherent ramblings into something resembling English.

Wow!!!!!!!!!! it is obvious that what we think is reality,,, is deceiving.
The ballroom is open,, the Music is playing and everyone is dancing to different tune..
this is what I describe as true oppression,,My say is"Living in the Seychelles is like living in a prison with privilege,,, that is because they don't lock you up physically but psychologically they do their best to send their people around the bend.

No wonder we are all suspicious of each other.
It is very sad.
I thank god everyday that I was given the gift of wisdom to know the difference I wish the same for everyone.

Danny Faure uses NYS graduates as a political platform personally.Even the cleaners, are invited to sports day, as if they do not have anything better to do with their time, in these difficult times.

Anytime, anyone organizes any association, it is a political platform for the Communists Le Pep party.

They are so arrogant and buried in Communism that they say, "We are le Pep, le Pep Se Nou".

What about the other 1/2 of the population that does not support them?

Are they invalid citizens?

But SIVA is a Seychellois, and Ramadoss, and they can form any association they choose without comment.

They buy and sell land without comment.

Siva was made Ambassador at large, and Ramadoss was mad because he was not made Ambassador at Large.

People has lost their mind.

I am surprised, they keep the Editor on salary.

Ramadoss may not have been made embassadro at large, but he certainly is rather large. :-D

Reply to Guppy-

Register MSR as you should have and I will run under the "SESEL POU SESELWA" banner.

Then you will be put in charge of administering the Victoria Market, but with a financial controller from MSR overseasing your work.

You know where you can put your INDEPENDENT candidacy!

MSR nor its leader Christopher Gill nor the leadership committee of MSR, will give credibility to a highly flawed election process by participating in it.

All parties should BOYCOTT the elections officiated by Mr. Hendrik Gappy.

He must be removed, and electoral laws condusive to a proper functioning democracy be put in place.

Any opposition entity that plays along in this process, only plays along to the tune of the PL, to keep them where they are.

PP we are not only going to use facebook, twitter or blogger.

But SMS,MMS,Flyers and so on,to deliver our message to Seselwa.

All means of communication must be used from the new technologies like Twitter,SMS,face book etc and if necessary even letter pigeons,Radio bamboo ,messagers whatever, the important thing is that the message keep spreading around the country.
