SHEIKH KALIFA'S MONSTROSITY
LOOMS ON THE SEYCHELLES SKYLINE

The palace of controversies which looks more like a hospital building or block of flats is now almost ready to 'welcome' its most unwanted guest! Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan is the tail wagging the dog of James Michel's government. In exchange for several hectares of prime property all over Mahe, the Sheikh is playing the bogus philantropist (lessons learnt from Ramadoss) by gifting a diagnostic center, building a few houses and a coastguard base for his own protection. James Michel and his government have sold the country to numerous foreigners as they fight for their own political survival. Accountability is looming with elections next year...

Terrible thing.

How very, very sad that the Government of the Seychelles can and has allowed a foreigner to come over and destroy the flora of this beautiful island.
It is a complete disgrace!
Why did this Arab Sheikh not donate the money to help the young poeple of Seychelles to own their property. By building affordable houses and share ownership propertis? This would have been a better investment for the Seychelles. Then Mr. James Michel would have been seen to have done something for his people!
Or perhaps donated funds vital hospital equipment, staff training, and generally a more modern hospital?
Surely the amount he (Sheikh) has spent on this monstrocity would have been able to finance quite a few necessities in the Seychelles. That is what Mr.Michel should have been seeking!
Shame on J.Michelles and his entourage for allowing this.
How does he sleep at night?

It is typical SPPF and Parti Lepep over the last 33 years. Grandiose wasteful projects, one after another, that have brought the country to its knees begging Sheikh Khalifa.

The Sheikh has received prime location to flaunt his wealth and cheaply acquired land. As a sop, we get a diagnostic centre bearing his name in full so that we do not forget him.

But this building would look good as a mausoleum.

It puts the Chinese in a very good light. They have given so much including a full hospital at Anse Royale. As far as I can tell, they have received nothing in return, not even insisting that the hospital be called The Chairman Mao Zedong Hospital.

The Sheikh has indeed donated a lot to Seychelles. I will list few of them below:

1. Completion of Peseverance.
2. Resurface road to Barbaron.
3. Mosque in Victoria (donated 30 years ago)
4. New Generators
5. Naval Base with Sports facilities and multifaith chapel.
6. Fleet of BMW
7. Presents to Head of State (J Michel)
8. VIP Ticket to F1
9. Private Plane to help injured children
10. Unrivalled support to Victoria Hospital...

The list can go on and is endless.

Yes, the Sheikh has built his palace on top of La Misere. This palace does not blend in with the Seychelles architecture and is illegal as it contravenes existing building laws and regulations.

Unfortunately, we live in an unjust world. When the rich (Khalifa) meets with the powerful (President) we end up with such results as we are experiencing in Seychelles.

When Mancham was in power he did allow a certain amout of foreigners such previledges. Unfortunately, Mancham was overthrown before his rich friends managed to change the landscape of Seychelles. Rene did the same to a certain extent. He allowed unrivalled priviledges to rich foreigners in return for financial support and favours. Michel is just following in their footsteps.

Should Ramkalawan, Boulle, Gill or indeed Volcere be elected Presidet, they would allow the rich to have piviledges over Seychellois Rasin in exchange for financial support to the state and to help keep them in power.

Unfortunately, this is the way of the world we live in.

Leaders have to strike the right balance with donors. They set off with ther right intentions - but the longer they are in power, greed sets in and they feel the country and its assets belongs to them as individuals. They are no longer servant of the nation. The nation have to live at their mercy unless you are well connected to the powerful.

These are hard fact that all will find hard to understand, believe and digest.

For us to have a fair and just Seychelles, we need more leaders with qualities similar to Jesus, Prophet Mohammed, Mahatma Ghandi, Mother Theresa.

IN SHORT POLITICS STINKS.TRUST NONE OF THE ABOVE.

Sa wee,

Our frustrated 55 years old Seychellois must be so bloody frustrated that he declares that none of the above namely "Jesus, Mohammed, Mahatma and Mother Theresa cannot be trusted.

Ou pa Zom Kouyon bro. And whoever you are, TIKLO sends you and your families his warm and kindest regards.

I do not doubt for a minute that the list goes on. It is also a shameful and disgraceful list. It tells us everything that has gone wrong with SPPF and Parti Lepep. It is a list of failures and an affront to our national dignity. After 33 years, we have been reduced to living on alms from wealthy arabs who can now trample on our laws.

And we have not been too tight-fisted towards the Sheikh either. He has not done too badly by us. Why is the government tight-lipped about our donations to the Sheikh ?

You will all complain and have dispute with what has happened!! Who is going to do anything!! No one!! So stop complaining and live up to it! You are a weak Nation and we will take you peice by peice!! You are all cowards!! Allah Akbar!

We took independence to free ourselves from dominance and yet you so desperate that you think we should opt for neo- colonialism ,you must have lost all sense of freedom.

No one should be privileged in this country and less foreigners .What we ned to do is get our billions back, exploit our EEZ as it should and make all the feoigners you think should be our masters pay their Taxes, duties and so on then we can get this country back of the right course.

And if we bankrupted,it means that before we had money thus it was not achieved by begging but by the hard work of our people.

Reply to Frustrated Observer-

You are frustrated because you are in your mid fifities and choose to sit on the sidelines and complain and judge those that are trying to do what you should have done.

You include me in your group of sell outs when I am fighting to defend "Sesel Pou Seselwa".

I face drug fix attempts, monitoring of my phones, monitoring my e mail, and State House agents follow me for my work, while you sit around observing and remaining frustrated.

If you think you can do better for Seychelles, get off your self righteous bum and get to it, OBSERVER.

In the meantime, show some respect for a generation that is today, doing what you and those that came before you, should have done.

I am from Praslin and my parents and family have been SPPF for as long as I can remember. The other night when it was clear, my father looked up and saw this building with all its lights. Yes, we cna see this building from Praslin. he told me that he will never ever again for James Michel or for an SPPF on Praslin. He is ashamed that the skyline of Mahe has been ruined, when on our own Praslin, the Government has stopped us from building above 50 metres. Michel is not a good person and is not to be trusted as a leader. My frineds and I will be voting for someone elese next year. 20year old Praslinois

They could at least turn off the lights at night and spare us more humiliation for no longer being masters in our own house. But they leave the lights on and keep rubbing our noses in it.

That is a good step forward and as a young Praslinois i appreciate that it did not take you thirty years like your father to understand that PP is a gang of crooks though he should had known that in 1977 when those bastards confiscated our freedom by the point of guns. You are the new generation of Seychellois and our country would need people like you for the future of this land given to us by God, and in order to protect your own childrens future and avoid the risk of seeing our people reduce to slavery.

As a Praslinois myself i hope you would also encourage ,convince others to do the same namely vote these crooks out in the coming election in order that they can be send where they deserve to be at montagne Possee.

We can defeat those handful of crooks and their foreigne collaborators for the power of the people is the strongest army of earth.

This Khaliffa saga will be the straw that would break the camel's back. There is no words to describe a self proclaim who is pathologically obsess with selling our god given patrimony to rich foriegners. All of these thing going on shows that Michel is a very weak leader who has no skill in negociation and in all his dealing has simply left sour grapes in the mouth of the Seychellois people and we have end up on the losing side. The only person who has behaved like that in History was Judas. Be hopeful my dear friends this event could be undone with divine help.

So god bless the Seychelloise people so that they can see that they at the mercy on an evil regime who are fulfilling the work of satan.
God help my brothers and sister so that they can use their power of discerment so that they will not be influence with materials wealth and plunge our beautiful islands in total darkness by voting for this evil regime who blood sucking our people to total destruction.

Determine to bring the evil empire in the Seychelles down.

The desalination plants hardly work. Where are you?

Their size do not match the price.

Anonymous said...

Desalination plants not only never work it requires lots of energy to operate,it also result in greenhouse emmissions,it produces heavy concentrated brine etc.Money that could be used to build dams.
But as allows PP just want to have and build anything it sees , without having any idee of how it works, its cost, its effectiveness and so.

Its motto, build first we see the later.

Frustrated 55 Year Old:

Whatever Khalifa has "given" us has come at the price of selling him our motherland and our patrimony. These should never be for sale at any price.

The Pp have stolen from us and made us poorer than we have to be. Now they encourage us to salivate at the sight of Khalifa's money. this is the money that we should have had if it were not stolen by the Collaborators from we the Seselwa Rasin people.

Make note, in the end, we are going to have to fight Khalifa and his troops along with Michel the Collaborator's troops in the streets of our homeland to recover our motherland. Both Khalifa and the Collaborators are despots who will not bow to the Seselwa Rasin people's democratic will. So we must prepare ourselves for our true war of national liberation and pay whatever price must be paid to liberate our motherland.

So whatever Khalifa has "given" us it has been at the price of our freedom and our independence. But Khalifa is not to blame. He would not have bought what had not been sold to him. Michel the Collaborator and the Pp Collaborators are to blame. Rene the Butcher is to blame. They are the traitors. They must be brought to justice.

And we Seselwa Rasin must never accept this 30 pieces of silver to sell our motherland to Khalifa no matter how frustrated we become. We must spit on Khalifa and his bribe. Otherwise we should have sold out our homeland to the British a far more decent people than Khalifa and his ruling despots. We said no to colonialization in 64 and we say no now to colonialization.

We want our independence and our sovereignty. We do not want to be a colony of anyone. We do not want Khalifa or Fabrike controlling our country. We must revolt and take our country back from them.

Sesel Pou Seselwa in 64 and Sesel Pou Seselwa in 2010 and Sesel Pou Seselwa forever.

Burn what you must burn Pp, murder who must murder Pp, but this will not change - SESEL POU SESELWA.

Of course in civil society where the law is the king not men and where reason is the main guide to society and base of means of survival instead of brute force, there would be a possibily of conducting peaceful struggle.

However,in where brute force, fraud and corruption are used by power elites as their only survival method as well as only method to continue their barbaric rule, the possibility of non-violent struggle would be unfeasible or illusory.

Therefore using force against those ruffians selling our sovereignty and dignity to a feudal landlord and other foreign mafias semms more and more to be the only option left if we want to bring a stop to those crooks and get over control of our land gifted to us by God.As a soveriegn nation, it is our rights and duty to defence our land from by all means including force. For It is becoming clear that the only method to stop PP practicing its criminal acts on us is by the use of force. They confiscated our liberty by force so let us get them out by force.

Anonymous (Clown above):

You state we should go into the streets of Victoria and start burning and murdering to prove we are brave and not cowards, and presumably like I you say I had urged. But if you were taught to read by your Collaborator friends you would note in my comment that I was stating that the Pp Collaborators can burn and murder but that will not change SESEL POU SESELWA. I was not advocating burning and murder.

We Rasin-ists, unlike you Collaborators, are not so quick or willing to murder fellow Rasin-ists just to satisfy our hunger for power and to fill our own pockets with stolen Rasin wealth. So we are attempting all peaceful means to effect change in our motherland. The last thing we want is any bloodshed of our own people.

But what I can sense in your comment is your arrogance and self-assurance that if you are challenged you will use your normal tactics of intimidation and murder and burning to hold on to power and will do so again unchallenged. So you beg for us to take up arms to free ourselves. You may get what you wish.

You Collaborators are used to torturing and murdering unarmed civilians you grab in the night. So far no one has armed themselves and shot back. You are used to your monopoly on arms which you use to instill fear so you can burn the property of those you disagree with or who disagree with you.

You and other Collaborators should be working to unite and reconcile the Seselwa Rasin people through compromise, consensus and power sharing. Instead you are encouraging armed insurrection. Well it may com,e and then we'll see if you are so brave as you profess to be now.

Go into the streets is constittutional rights we have that we need to express more often to squeeze the ass of those PP donkeys. As have been the case on La Misere street and school, and the Tuna factory there will be more to come as we will not let PP crooks continue abuse our freedom and liberty and sell our patrimony to foreigners.
In fact booby, you fear that we take into the streets becuase fake creatures like you won^t survive in a free country.
