Fraudulent Seychelles Presidential Elections - Michel wins shallow victory

The wait is over and the fraudulent results are in.  Michel has won the Seychelles Presidential election by allowing fraudulent voters who bought Seychelles passports to vote for him. See Bloomberg's report below:

May 22 (Bloomberg) -- James Michel won his third term as president of the Seychelles, securing 55.46 percent of the vote yesterday against 41.43 percent for Wavel Ramkalawan, his main opponent.
Both Michel's Parti Lepep and Ramkalawan's Seychelles National Party accused the other of bribing voters on the Indian Ocean archipelago.
About 58,000 eligible voters cast their ballot over a three-day period, out of some 69,000 registered voters. Voting was extended to allow people on outlying islands the chance to participate.
Michel has been in office since 2004 after replacing the People's Party socialist leader France Albert Rene, who came to power in a coup in 1977. Michel was re-elected in 2006 with 53.7 percent of the vote against the 45.7 percent won by Ramkalawan.

What Bloomberg failed to say was that the 3 other candidates boycotted the result announcement and decided to stay away from the farce of an announcement by Electoral Commissioner Hendrick Gappy, one of the kingpin behind the fraudulent election. Ramkalawan, Volcere and Boulle all refused to wait around for the results of an election which was fixed well before the first ballot was cast.  It is now up to the international observers to file their meaningless reports that will state the elections were "free and fair".

In summary, this election was as far away from free and fair as can ever be imagined. Michel won with manipulation, illegal money and more importantly, by allowing illegal and ineligible Seychellois to vote.  Seychelles is truly doomed for 5 more years while the country is raped by Arabs, Russians, Indians and Chinese. The corruption will simply continue on Monday morning under Ramados, Dolor, Savy, Adam and the rest of the thieving gangs who will return to robbing the people of Seychelles.

STAR warned for months that this election would be fraught with corruption.  Christopher Gill called for a boycott of this sham election many weeks ago, but no one listened. Maybe now the politicians and opposition members will wake up to this battle cry.

Mancham is an ass. He has always put his personal interests first and foremost. It is not Seychelles First as he likes to tell us. It is Mancham first. He is selfish, egoistical and morally bankrupt.

Can someone explain why our national flag was used in parti lepep campaign presidential election and will there be another 5 JUNE CELEBRATION NEXT WEEK,by the way a bottle of oil cost 28RUPEES so what next am exciting to know after the election fiasco.

SBC has come in for heavy criticisms from the otherwise compliant election observers. Sarkozy's officials at the French Embassy here and in Paris must have had SBC in mind when they talked about democratic structures in Seychelles. SBC was quick to notice the party political propaganda value in James Mancham's message of congratulation. This was seen as the most important one, more important than the message from French, Chinese or Russian leaders. SBC is still clearly in post election celebration mood. It is from a peace conference in Russia that Mancham shamelessly sent his message with controversial wording, knowing fully well that it was going to be exploited by James Michel and the state propaganda machinery and raise political tension. Now that he has achieved his own reconciliation with the coup plotters, Mancham has conveniently forgotten about national reconciliation and has gone as far as to taunt the opposition on their election defeat. What are the chances that this hypocrite had just given a speech on the need to be magnanimous in victory in Russia ?

State House office was used as the location for Parti Lepep's party political broadcasts.

Mancham preaches peace abroad. He is a political demagogue in Seychelles.

Of course they will celebrate 5 Zen. Will James be back from Russia by then ?

THANK YOU.

On SBC-One of the most shameful individual in Seychelles today is that pathetic slave who runs the SBC. Have you ever seen him interviewing James Michel? He looked like one of those North Korean stooges in front of Kim Jung Il. That guy was going nowhere in his career, had no talent and ever since he was pcitured in an sppf with francis savy and Marie antoinette rose, he got a scholarship and after licking his way around the ass of james michel, is now in charge of SBC. Toultan en nwanr kouyon ki pou fer kanmi son ras.

France did not have to mention democracy and the economy in their message, as these are negative points for Parti Lepep and James Michel. Asking James Michel to improve democracy and repair the economy amounts to criticisms in diplomatic language. France clearly understands that an unqualified endorsement of the situation that led to the "sunny victory" is at odds with the bombs being dropped on Libya to bring democracy to that country. An agressive campaign for democracy in Seychelles by the opposition will find a sympathetic ear abroad. Now is the time.

On the economy, Sarkozy is probably showing exasperation at being asked to cancel Seychelles debt, while PL spends millions on its election campaign.

Why our flag used in PL Campaign?

Because it is their flag-Their mentality is to make everything synonymous with them-the flag, national anthem, sbc, judiciary, everything in their minds belong to them. SPPF/PL philosophy is that they are the state, thus they entitled to use everything and expect people also to follow blindly like blind mice. this is fidel castrol's ideology being put in practice.

Anonymous said...

HOW TRUE IS THIS???

My friend has a theory. He says PL would never have relinquished power if they had lost the election. They had a back-up plan and it was called Viral Dhanjee. The guy was disqualified with valid reasons and has a case before the Court of Appeal. Now, James Michel loses, Viral will win his case that his constitutional rights were violated and end result-the election result is declared nul and void because Mr Viral's right has been violated. So, PL can have another go to make sure this time it 'wins.'

sorry disqualified with INVALID reasons

The post election celebrations -- motorcade, shouting etc -- do not help with national reconciliation. But did "elder statesman" James Mancham have to join in and throw fuel on the fire ?

I am not surprised by what Mancham does anymore. I am just saddened because I used to believe in him.

Why our flag is used because under pp dictatorship the party and the state is one.

Pou sa kouyon ki pe target overseas Seychellois! Most of us couldn’t give a shit about voting in Seychelles whilst living overseas. It’s that big baboon of your leader who thinks that he can defeat PL through our votes! If he was such a good leader as you make him out to be he wouldn’t need to rely on overseas votes to win an election! He should manage that with his political skills based on 20 years experience – and don’t tell me that SPPF/PL keeps cheating because if that’s the case then what difference would our votes make? He is using the lack of our votes as an excuse for his failures!
You keep talking about 41 percent as if he could’ve have won. Most elections anywhere in the world are won and lost within that same margin so don’t be fooled to think he was “that close!” He wasn’t!

“Those who loves Seychelles” you said! Eoula don! Who gives you the bloody right to measure my love for my country based on your political crap! You love Ramkalawan first and Seychelles second -
I love Seychelles first! Period!

The photos of Parti Lepep checkpoints on election day undermine the claim that the election was credible, never mind true and fair. These checkpoints were clearly intended to monitor and intimidate voters.

Anonymous said...

If that's the case, why do PL supporters overseas accept free tickets to come and vote ? You are talking through your derriere.

Khalifa's message to Michel is not effusive. It sounds like a bog-standard congratulation message. The official message that is. I am not ruling out a private message or phone call. The official message and the fact that Etihad waited until after the election to announce flights to Seychelles suggest that Khalifa is aware of the groundswell of anti-Khalifa opinion in Seychelles. He himself knows how much money has been given to Michel to win and the true cost of this win.

Had Virgin Airlines decided to fly to Seychelles, PL would have leaked the news before the election and hailed it as victory of Seychelles.

Anonymous said...

Speak for yourself. I am entitled to the right to vote before PL's new immigrants.

They love Rene 1st, then Michel, then i assume themselves although that's debatable, then finally down the line they claim they love Seychelles.

Mancham's message is the highlight of his own resounding defeat at the hands of Albert Rene, as he now joins the SPUP/SPPF/PARTI LEPEP camp. Mancham will now die an SPUP. The opposition has had one act of betrayal too many from him.

The 45% opposition will recover from this defeat. James Mancham will not.

With Mancham gone and Gill having no popular support, the task of uniting those leaders who remain in the opposition is made a lot easier.

Anonymous said...

Mancham needs to be reminded that he managed 51% only when he won before the coup d'etat. He shouldn't belittle 45% achieved against great odds.

Pictures coming out show that PL had a checkpoint on polling day in every district and near every polling station. This was clearly organised to intimidate voters. So much for a credible election process.

The SBC TV producer who apparently got his training from the University of Twits in Wales (the Welsh would be disgusted to learn what he is doing with his training) got a chance to get close to James Michel last Tuesday. Even he must have noticed that the man before him was not the same man on those extra large campaign posters -- unless boyo is really blind. The fact that his mate preferred to kill himself rather than live one more day under Parti Lepep has not dampened his enthusiasm for PL.

Before you embarked on your maniacal ravings you should have got your brain in order first. I am no Wavel, baboon as you call him, supporter. What i wanted to point out in fact you seem to agree; that we should win the election with local votes because there is no guarantee that overseas voters will vote for the opposition. I think you will find that a large number of opposition supporters in Seychelles do not want overseas people voting because YOU DON'T LIVE HERE.

Granted some of you do not want to vote, but why should others want to come down here, influence the results and then go back to your life whilst we here suffer the consequence? Seychellois are seychellois everywhere, opportunistic and looking after their own selfish interests. We do not want plane loads of mercenaries coming down here voting for PL because there are enough of these here.

And in reply to
“Those who loves Seychelles” Who gives you the bloody right to measure my love for my country based on your political crap! You love Ramkalawan first and Seychelles second -
I love Seychelles first! Period!

My friend if you love Seychelles first as you proclaim you will be here in her hour of need, when she is being sold to and raped by arabs, indians and russians. Not sitting comfortably wherever the fuck you are and writing crap.
You will find that there are lots of Seychellois here who could immigrate but choose to stay here because it is our motherland. It is a choice some of us make because some of us are prepared to sacrifice for a better future. As for the likes of you, I am sure you will be coming down when you are a frail and decrepit bag of bones 'to die' like it has been said.

And finally on loving Ramkalawan first and Seychelles second, I hate to say but that was the most insulting part because I agree with you that the guy is a baboon.

To the wise ass Brigitte

YOU WANT ME TO GET REAL. Here goes, mazinnen, ler ou rod grenn ou gannyen.

1. My status is anonymous because I dont have time to write some fucking made-up name like Brigitte. I could be Tom, Dick or Harry. Would it make a difference to you?

2. If you are so brave and fearless- publish your name, write your full name and surname, address and email. We here in Seychelles are 'living in fear' as you say and prefer to remain anonymous because people like you dont know what it is like to be victmised by sppf.Unlike you, we live the shit so if you have not experience it, just shut up.

3. Secondly, you are ridiculing people who are living here as if migrating is like going to the moon and we could not do it. My dear a lot of us have the permits and education to do so but we choose not to. Dont forget, most of you are wherever you are because you applied as refugees running from political repression. So, remember how you got where you are.

4. You know why Paul Chow, Mancham, Christopher Gill and Raplh Volcere are down here?? Because they have some brain matter and want to be a big fish in a small pond rather than be a nobody in a big pond. They have come down to make money, pure and simple. And if the likes of you had it in you, you would be here also, maybe opening a taxi business. You see my dear Briggitte, I'd rather be here in Sychelels making my own living than 'anmas ponm anba pye' or putting labels on tin cans in supermarkets. Dont think that just because you some British passport or other that you are suddenly better off than us.

Infact let me remind you -'you can remove a monkey from the jungle, but you cannot remove the jungle from the monkey.' I think this applies to SOME of you so called seychellois, who just because you happen to have some overseas permanent residency think suddenly you know best. Get real yourself and come off your perch.

You said; “a plane lot of mercenaries”! We are not mercenaries, we are Seychellois and upon arrival at Seychelles immigration check-point we do not need to show our birth certificates or that of our parents and or marriage certificates to prove citizenship of Seychelles. Unlike Christopher Gill who I believe is a Seyguamese we are truly what he likes to call SEYCHELLOIS RASIN therefore are free to come and go as we please and not as mercenaries like you said!
As to whom some of us chose to vote is no concern of yours so you’ll just have to live with it!
If you think our country is being sold and raped by Russians, Chinese and Arabs then it shows that you truly live in a cocoon surrounded by buffoons who instils these ideas in your head and don’t have a clue or maybe they just choose to hide what is happening in the rest of the world from their followers!
For those that chose to stay in Seychelles, that was their choice as was mine to emigrate. And yes I will be coming like I keep coming every year and hope that one day I will make it back in time with my “frail and decrepit bag of bones to die” because that is my divine right to do so – for you see my friend here in this country where I live I am what my prefab friend back in Seychelles call a citoyen fabrike so you will understand why I cannot begrudge the fabrikes of Seychelles including Christopher Gill himself, the right of abode – I give him the freedom of residing in my country Seychelles without fear or favour as long as he abides by the rules of the land!

And finally Christopher Gill; the fact that you think Ramkalawan is a baboon does not necessarily make us chums, ok?

To the Malbar with dirty ass who had the nerve to insult Seychellois:
Yes we say malbar y mort dan l’inde when our ass itches because this is how we Seychellois view malbars as dirty filthy assholes. You don’t use toilet paper in your hell hole filthy country. You use your finger to wipe your ass and you do not wash your hand after that. You go around your daily life with your stinky caca smell on your hand.
You don’t use soap to wash your dishes it’s just rinse and re-use. This is how filthy you are. You all have head lice. This is something Seychellois inherited from you. You take the snot out of your nose in public places and you put it in your mouth. You never brush nor floss your teeth. These basic acts of hygiene are foreign to you all. You don’t know how to use a spoon, fork and knife on the dining table. You eat with that dirty kaka hand. You all have no class no matter how rich or poor anyone of you can be.
When you visit India every Indian you meet whether rich or poor all wants this ONE thing in life. HOW TO I COME TO LIVE IN YOUR COUNTRY. This HELL HOLE country called India makes no Indian proud of. Every Indian in different parts of the world will lie to you about their place of birth. We Seychellois are always proud of where we came from. It is not something we try to hide like you malbar does. And if India is so great what the HELL ARE YOU DOING IN SEYCHELLES. If we are insulting you so much on this blog then you should pack up and go; show you have self respect.
Remember what Amin Dada did to you Indians in Uganda. Be very scared you dirty asshole because we will pack and stripped you of all your ill-gotten possession if you don’t respect our values and culture. Wherever in the world you filthy people established you know of only one way to survive; bribe everyone. This mentality will stop soon. You need to work hard and make something for yourself like we Seychellois do. We do not bribe our way around. This is something that you dirty people have brought to our land. We need to get rid of this attitude and that will include getting rid of the likes of you.
I wouldn’t make reference to this so-call great cricket player cause it is shameful for a country as big as India to have only one great athlete. Knowing the way Indians function it’s a given that he has bribe his way to the top; that is the only way you people can achieve something for yourself. All these so-called greatness of India have been copied from somewhere else. You are a nation of copycats. You Indians are plain dumb people because you lack creativity. Making your children study 20 hours a day doesn’t make them smart. Life is about balancing both, fun and work at the same time. You Indians clearly lack the fun part. You are all a boring and depressing lot and you don’t fit into our way of life. Show you’ve got class and leave.

I'm sorry guys, not so long ago, this blog was used for near intelligent discussion. It's now turned into a forum to exchange insults. How sad. How sad also when I see people denigrating their compatriots who live overseas. Is it now a crime to take up residence overseas? Does it make one less Seychellois than those who live back home? You know why it's sad as you say. Because SOME overseas persons think they should be given the right to vote and come down here to rescue the rest of us.

The discussion started with this simple question? To those advocating such a move, is there a guarantee that this will work?

Unfortunately, many supposedly intelligent overseas seychellois saw this as an attack on them.

The situation is like this. We have enough people selling their votes and themselves here. It is enough of a struggle trying to level an uneven playing field . We dont need to add another complication of overseas voters.

Now, is that an attack on overseas Seychellois? It was a point of view that people did not seem to understand and started getting emotional about loving their country and wavel the baboon. Like a little lady said, its time for some to get real.

Egypt is burning, people have been in the streets for days screaming for a better standard of living. And here, Michel and Parti Lepep has been buying off votes like there was no tomorrow. Yet, here comes the Ambassador of Egypt "making donation" of computers to the police. And out comes Moragn to accept with good old faithful SBC in tow. A good journalist would have asked the Ambassador: "Why did not you use the 40,000 dollars to help some of your citizens in the slums of Cairo? And asked Joel: "When is your government going to stop humiliating us by asking for and asking hand-outs? Don't you think we should have a little bit of national pride and do certain things ourselves? Are we that desperate that if cannot buy a few computers for the handful of police stations that we have??

The reasons for us to be overseas are different. Some of us still have our homes in Seychelles and as a result are paying tax on the rent as required by government. Others have other links with the country of their birth. What gives anyone the right to decide what right a seychellois should have in his own country? What are we getting to? No problem if you are in your 'OWN' Country as you say.

But it becomes MY right to question it when some people who have established lives overseas and just because they have a Seychellois passport, are paid to come down here every 5 years, vote for a system of Government that represses its population, and then conveniently gets back on a plan without giving a cat's ass as to what the consequences people here have to endure.

Ralph Volcere's resignation is a non-resignation. He is not going anywhere. He has resigned but he says he is happy to carry on if DP asks him to stay. Volcere is making a grand gesture, trying to show that the Democratic Party may be terribly unpopular but it is terribly democratic.

His non-resignation announcement topped SBC news tonight, unusually pushing Michel into second news item. I bet SBC was taking a cheap pop at Ramkalawan. Ralph's re-appointment as DP boss will not receive the same billing on Michel's television.

Is it really smart of Ralph Volcere to use SBC and allow it to make mischief for the opposition in this way. Should he really use his nemesis to embarrass Ramkalawan. People will see through this kind of gesture politics. When DP "implores" Ralph Volcere to carry on and offer him a coronet, he will probably pretend he does not want it. After much imploring, he will accept the coronet.

Ralph, we will not forgive you for insulting our intelligence. It might be better for you to go now. It looks like politik bon marse. That's because it is.

Volcere's resignation as DP leader is a gimmick, just like the gimmick of wearing sunglasses on the ballot paper. He says he sells thousands copies of Weekly every week. He thought his readers would become DP supporters. With only 800 votes and over 10% fewer than Boulle polled, NDP is dead. There is no political role for the DP boss over the next 5 years apart from supporting SNP's fight for democracy. Not only was Volcere humiliated, perhaps personally, but it was depressing for DP. It cannot come back unless SNP were to make major mistakes and destroy itself by 2016. DP's low low vote must be a poor reflection on Volcere's qualities as a leader, unlike Ramkalawan who got the bulk of the opposition vote. Ramkalawan is in a different situation to Volcere. If DP thinks it can use SBC to force Ramkalwan out, hoping it has better chances with a new SNP leader, it can think again. There are very few votes for SNP in taking the risks of uniting opposition leaders. Opposition leaders unhappy with Ramkalawan are ill-advised to run to SBC to make their case. They are simply being a nuisance and it will not help them to get electoral support. NDP must realise if it wants to work closely with SNP, it had to call Volcere's bluff and dump him. His decision to play along with SBC's party political agenda was poor political judgement. I bet Michel was happy to be displaced as the star in the SBC news yesterday. It is not Volcere's unimportant scalp that they want. It is Ramkalawan's scalp that they want, in this year of victory for Seychelles.

To the moron who wants to dictate which Seychellois vote or does not vote in his country-

Some people it seems just do not know how to read or come up with substantial arguments. These are the very idiots and morons to use your own words who when are answered by their own moronic standards cry out that they are being insulted, targeted, dictated to and questioned on their loyalty to Seychelles.

The only simple argument it seems you people can come across is that we are seychellois and Seychelles is our country. THEN WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU MORON??? If its your country, you should be here. At the moment, all I can see are Indians.

So are you like the Indian busy making money abroad? Are you waiting for your dying days ler lafreser pe rap ou boyo pou ou desann?

Well, continue sitting on your ass wherever you, shouting like a mental case that you are a seychellois and asking that you are able to vote every 5 years and then continue to live overseas.

Before any ignorant idiot feels targeted, let me make it clear. I recognise not every overseas Seychellois has the least desire to come here and vote and I respect that. It is people's rights to migrate and look for a better life wherever they want. It is people's rights to do what they want with their lives as LONG AS THEY ARE NOT INFRINGING ON THE RIGHTS OF OTHERS.

But to those who wants to have the right to vote, please come up with some valid reasons why you should do so. Because some of us here feel that you do not have the right to decide what happens to this country, where WE are LIVING, whilst you are not here, bearing the consequences of your actions.PL is already bringing loads of you down already to vote and you people may just be the margin that is giving them the edge. Now, this is betrayal of the highest order.

And by the way, nothing is preventing anyone from coming down here today to settle back in 'your' country as you say. Get your priorities right before you sit in front of your computer and accuse some of us of putting Rene, Ramkalawan and whatever crap first whilst YOU of all people have the audacity to claim from the comforts of exile that Seychelles will always be first!!! How ridiculous. My friends, you are all like Mancham, putting yourselves first.

I am no Volcere fan but I think he did the honourable thing that all party leaders who are defeated in elections do - tender his resignation. The party may decide to accept or reject it. That's an internal party matter. But what was interesting was the importance that SBC gave this non-news item. Are they trying to show the world that, having helped James Michel achieve his aim, they can now be magnanimous and give a semblance of impartiality? It'll take more than a fool to fall for this.

Anonymous said...

Wavel's decision should have nothing to do with Volcere's. He should make his own decision in peace and serenity, taking everything into consideration. Having taken the struggle for democracy this far, he's already earned his place in our history books. Our country has reached the stage that it has, with the democratic institutions, etc thanks to Wavel's work. If he decides that it's time for somebody else to take over the leadership of the party,so be it. SNP is more than the business of one person. The party will survive and will continue to be a credible alternative to parti Lepep.
RT

Anonymous said...

All this is fine. But I have the following questions:
1.Is there anybody else around in SNP today able to take over the leadership? St Ange and Pierre may have been possibilities but they've opted for other things.
2.Is it better to reorganise and revitalise the party or simply break it down and start all over again?
3.Will a new leader pursue Wavel's head-strong position of no compromise with the ruling party or be more accomodating?
Any thoughts anyone?

Anonymous said...

You know why there is all this clamor for Wavel to go? Because he is a thorn in the side of PL.

Rightly said, this should be an internal decision by SNP supporters.

What some people fail to realise is that Seychellois people do not vote by principles or on the merits of the candidates. You could have had Obama standing for SNP and sppf would have still won with its alcoholic clan of imbeciles.

Anonymous said...

Will a new leader pursue Wavel's head-strong position of no compromise with the ruling party or be more accomodating?

Compromise? Accomodate Pl?

It is PL who has to compromise and accomdate? What is there for Wavel to concede? You cannot compromise on justice and fairness.

And PL is just words. When it comes to meaningful action, it is not interested. All they want to so is create this mirage that all is fine and well in Seychelles and want the opposition to be an opposition only in name.

Anonymous said...

You have 31000 Seychellois who don't give a damn about democracy, they only care about how much money they can get for their votes! Mancham is a disgrace and has also sold his vote.

Anonymous said...

Volcere's resignation was published in Weekly. It was mentioned on STAR the day before SBC ran the story in the news.

Will SBC be going through STAR and Weekly looking for news ? It would be nice to think so. Afterall, SBC reads foreign news off the BBC.co.uk website word for word.

The Volcere's story is SBC politicking for Parti Lepep. Volcere should have seen that, if he is the street wise politician that he thinks he is. Volcere would not be resigning if he had polled a respectable 5000. This charade will not help him get there.

Anonymous said...

Volcere did not have to go on SBC to re-announce his resignation, especially as he says Weekly sells well. SBC's PL-supporting leadership resents giving opposition broadcast time during election campaign. They are political animals. In between elections they will use SBC to damage the opposition. Volcere gave SBC an opportunity to divide the opposition and rule.

Volcere should have earned some kudos among those in the opposition who care about democracy. But being seen fraternising with the enemy television broadcaster had cancelled any kudos he was expecting to get.

There is a boycott of Chicco Martino's gig in West London tonight. Show solidarity with the opposition in Seychelles. Chicco supported SPPF/Parti Lepep and sang at their rallies. He composed Parti Lepep's campaign song. He is not just an artist. He is an SPPF campaigner. Show solidarity with the thousands of Seychellois whose hopes for a better life were betrayed by Chicco who is now on the UK to make more money. Better to stay in and watch the UEFA Champions League Final.

Anonymous said...

I agree Volcere should not have given SBC the interview because by doing so he was giving SBC credibility in the eyes of those viewers who accept everything they see on TV. SBC should be the first target of boycotting as they are largely responsible for the lack of democracy in Seychelles. They are used by LEPEP to spread misinformation, propaganda and lies to the benefit of the SPPF.

Interesting to see that National Assembly sitting resumes on Tuesday to approve additional budget for 2011 of R240million. This election was expensive and the bill has started to arrive.

The opposition will of course boycott this National Assembly, the first action to show the displeasure at PL buying this election. After approving ministers this assembly will probably be dissolved. By Tuesday we will know whose dastardly deed during the election campaign has been rewarded with a chair at the cabinet table.

There is nothing wrong with stacking shelves in a supermarket. It is an important job even though it does not pay well and that's because there are too many people who can do that kind of job. It helps to expand the economy of the UK, like most productive jobs do. Businesses need people to stack up shelves.

If Seychellois were less choosy about the jobs they do and can do in Seychelles, it would help the economy and reduce reliance on foreign labour.

34 years of SPPF and Parti Lepep that it is better to beg off Khalifa than to work hard.

We all know that the average Indians are passive and just want to get on with their lives. Yes they make money but that is because they work hard for it and make sacrifices. They just keep their heads down and get on with it keeping away from our politics and instead of bickering amonst ourselves maybe we should take a leaf from their book. Let us cease with all these racism and remember that not too long ago during the colonial and Mancham era we Seychellois were also victims of racism by only a handful and this was tolerated by Mancham's government of which Christopher Gill himself is from.

Where do you think western governments get money to cancel the debts that Parti Lepep have accumulated ? It is the taxes of western taxpayers which include Seychellois working abroad, including the taxes of anyone who works as a shelf stacker in US, France, UK, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Sweden etc etc

Where does IMF get the money to lend to Seychelles to bail it out of the economic crisis ? It is the taxes of western taxpayers and the Chinese.

It is the taxes of Egyptian shelf stackers that were used by Mubarak to give equipment for Seychelles police.

Be careful before we have a go at shelf stackers, road sweepers and grave diggers in countries that give aid to Seychelles.

David Cameron is asking the British to tighten their belts so that the UK can increase aid to poor countries and some of the British aid will go to Seychelles, without asking for mountain top plots of land in return.

It was not the shelf stackers that Rene kicked out of the country. It was the intelligent people that posed a threat to his one-party state. As in any community, their children abroad have gone on to work in various spheres abroad. Some are qualified professionals, tradesmen, drivers or even shelf stackers. Why should they now return to Seychelles ? If it is worthwhile to return, they will. Otherwise they can stay where they are. A shelf stacker in UK earns more than an PL-supporting producer at SBC. A train driver in UK earns more than a PL cabinet minister -- but the train driver takes no bribes to supplement his pay.

Answer: Don't flatter the guy chum he is not big enough for me to be consumed by him but in answer to you:
He is here forming his Seychelles Fascist Party and calling for the heads of Seychellois Fabrike when he is in fact a fabrike himself and contrary to your belief he is not here to do us Seychellois any favours. Anyone can start a blogg, he started this for his own sick reasons!
He is a racist, a fascist, an anarchist bent on subvertion regardless which government is in power!
When you all were calling for a united opposition to vote out PL he was calling for all to boycott the election because he feared that Ramkalawan would win. Much to his relief Ramkalawan lost and now he can slowly put his master plan in action. Not that he likes PL but for his own twisted agenda.
He writes bloggs in the guise of Indians insulting Seychellois to intensify racial tension in Seychelles and his bloggers are either too naive or too stupid to read through them and they play in his hands by venting their venom towards those innocent immigrants! Need I go on?

There you go Christopher Gill you asked what my obsession was about you and I have answered! No obsession at all just exposing you for what you really are…a phoney!

It is flattering you think its C Gill but I assure you I am not him. He has a big ego like you say and would want credit for outwitting you, so he would write his name.

I raise the issue because even if what you pointed out have some grounds, I'd rather have someone else stealing the resources of our country than those who have been doing it for the last 34 years.

You see, be it Gill,Volcere or a baboon, I'd rather have someone else come in, show the Seychellois people that CHANGE is not such a bad thing. This first step is essential because after this, people will know that they can kick out their leaders if they do not perform and put in someone else.

Non mon ami it is not that I am keen on “warning you about this racist and fascist!”And by all means don’t feel flattered that I think you are C Gill it wasn’t meant to be a compliment! Any one in their right mind would feel insulted to be mistaken for a racist and a fascist but if you feel flattered then you surely have delusions of grandeur and there is only one man that I know of with that delusion and it’s none other than CG!

You don’t care who gets elected as long as you have change.
Gill cares who get elected and it’s none of the above!
I am not here about who gets elected I am here about the state of mind of Christopher Gill! The guy is intoxicated with power and fortunately for Seychelles he failed in all political aspects therefore had opted for the one ideology that up to now was untried and has no place in Seychelles and that is fascism. To achieve that he used the oldest con in the world and that is manipulation of fear on the discontented part of the populace and lean as far right as he can possibly balance and use the same doctrine on them like his teachers of the past did.

You have studied Mein Kampf well and is now putting every word in practice!

Your obsession with C Gill is a disservice to yourself because you are missing out on a number of glaring issues.

This obsession makes you overestimate the impact of C Gill on local politics. And in so doing, you underestimate the intelligence of the Seychellois people. You see me friend, there is nothing for you to be afraid of and go on this crusade to save us poor idiots about the dangers of fascism or C Gill. Frankly, if people here were serious about this country and their future, they would have risen by themselves. No need for C Gill. There are enough reasons for discontentment but Seychellois are like the Indian said, just lazing about. A simple drink and some moutia is enough to keep most happy. And this is where C Gill has it all wrong because whether it is the most extreme nationalistic doctrines or liberal of philosophies, they just do not care.

My earlier points still stand; we need change here.Any change is better than the present crap. Baboon, Hitler or even pissed off people, if they contribute is commendable.

A simple drink and some moutia is enough to keep most happy.”
How can you then accuse me of insulting our intelligence when you start by praising us Seychellois and finish off by insulting us!
– By the way let us agree that there is no Indian coming on here to insult Seychellois it’s Christopher Gill’s (you) way of inciting racial tension!....only fools and monkeys will fall for that shit!

Since we’re on the subject of primates: Weren’t you the same one that on May 22 4:02 AM called those same people “Monkeys and idiots that voted for a chimpanzee”? I assume it was you because it was signed by anonymous.

This thread is about “The fraudulent election result of the election”: If that is the case why are you lot posting abuse and denigrating your own people for electing him! It couldn’t have been fraudulent if the majority voted for him could it? It can only be one or the other but not both!

You all know that he won fair and square but through your dismay and frustrations coupled by your hatred for the party with the beliefs that you are a special breed of Seychellois that stands out from the rest of us you accuse Michel of cheating but at the same time voted in by monkeys!

You “special ones” who are so victimised by Seychelles (and the world for not heeding your misery) will stop at nothing to denigrate your own people for a little bit of anonymous glory on the web!

With all due respect to you all and I say this in the nicest possible way because I love you all with all my heart; you guys wouldn’t know your arse from your elbow and couldn’t win a fucking argument let alone an election – your dear opposition couldn’t organise a piss-up in a brewery let alone an election campaign!
Now lets either agree that the election was fair and stop calling it fraudulent or agree that it was fraudulent in which case the Seychellois voters are innocent so stop denigrating them!

My take on the election: Michel inn rap lapo lagel Ravel Wamkalawam.
We shall see when they boycott the National Assembly elections if NDP and Boulle will Boycott as well….how about you with your SFP….there’s 41% of votes floating around will you jump on that gravy train or should I say it in political terms, be one of the vultures and dive in on the carcasses? I pray do tell!
Oh, and let us not forget that Viral Dhanjee’s party might be registered as well, eh?
With 41 percent votes floating around rudderless I don’t think NDP, Boulle and Dhanjee will boycott….and I bet you can’t wait to sink your teeth in some of them as well with your beady eyes glazing…tee hee!

Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or 2 pictures.
Maybe you could space it out better?
