TIME TO BOYCOTT ALL PARTY LEPEP BUSINESSES IN SEYCHELLES

BOYCOTT - WE THE OPPOSITION HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE SEYCHELLES

From Wikepedia - A boycott is a form of consumerism activism involving the act of voluntarily abstaining from using, buying, or dealing with a person, organization, or country as an expression of protest, usually for political reasons.

So there we have it.  Following last week's sham Presidential Election, the 3 political party leaders have called  for a boycott of all future elections until James Michel and his Government make major amendments to the Constitution and Elections Act, and start respecting the laws of the land and stop abusing state resources to win elections.

Buying votes has become a norm under James Michel and his Parti Lepep, and it is time to give the party and its followers a taste of their own medicine.
PUC Truck used in campaign rally while Seychellois suffer without water in their taps

OPPOSITION SUPPORTERS MUST BOYCOTT THE RED PARTY MEMBERS

The 25,000 patriotic Seychellois and Seychelloise who voted with their brains for the Opposition must now use their power to bankrupt the businesses of these Parti Lepep supporters and the ones of their corrupt leaders, friends and partners.

Let us stop buying from these people once and for all as the money we spend in their establishments or on their products are then used to make donations to keep Michel and his corrupt party in business.

For example, start boycotting the businesses of Ramadoss, from his restaurant and hotel at Beau Vallon to his Amusement Centre to his Pirates Arms and to his Ramson Construction Company and to his Printec Press Printing where he still has the largest poster of Michel and Danny Faure still hanging at his premises.  Boycott the Seychelles Chamber of Commerce & Industry where Ramadoss is the pseudo Chairman and Dolor Ernesta is his side-kick.

Then start boycotting the insurance brokerage firms of the likes of Dolor Ernesta and France Bonte. Move your business elsewhere or go directly to your insurance company so that these thieves do not get any commissions.

Then boycott Intelvision too and get your own satellite dish if you can afford it, as Intelvision belongs to Mukesh Valabhji, Albert Rene and Joel Morgan.

Then start boycotting the Nation newspaper and stop putting adverts in that rag and on SBC-TV and Radio.  These companies are used by Michel and his sycophants like "Bonne-bouche Onezime" to brainwash the less educated members of our society.

Then boycott all the shops that you know who supported Parti Lepep.  Buy your food and drinks from somewhere else.  Buy your beer, wine and spirits from Opposition companies and shops.

Do not fly Zil Air and do not buy wines from East Indies as these companies belong to Francis, David and Glenny Savy.  Do not buy any computers from Space95 and Paradise Computers or use Kokonet as these companies belong to the likes of Francis Chang-Leng, Moutias, Hendrick Gappy the corrupt electoral commissioner and the Ramanis.

Do not buy any Yamaha engines or Daihatsu cars from Abhaye Valabhji as they are one of the biggest donors to the Parti Lepep fund. Do not bring your car to Island Motors as Sunny Kan is Albert Rene's partner.

Boycott restaurants, bars, taxis, shops, pharmacies, banks, dentists, doctors, phone companies, fuel stations, newspapers, magazines, farms, take-away shops, construction companies and any other companies that are associated with Parti Lepep. Boycott Alvin Grandcourt, Derek Savy, Chico, Mussard on La Digue, Green on Praslin, Gilbert Pool, Alain St. Ange, STB, the ambassadors and all those other idiots who spoke on behalf of James Michel. Even boycott the Catholic churches whenever Bishop Wiehe or Agathine preaches.

Boycott Khalifa, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Emirates Airlines, Four Seasons and Etihad. Boycott the Russians, the Mauritians and the South Africans at Eden Island who have propped up the Michel regime while taking us all for fools. Simply take your business elsewhere.

Boycott all of them and let them suffer for a change. After all, we the opposition people have the buying power in Seychelles.  These 31,000 people who voted for Michel are opportunists, corrupt members of our society and the poor idiots who sold their votes for a 500 rupee note.

It is time to make them realize that we the Opposition control the country economically, and not them.  Let us use that power to bring them to their knees. When they are bankrupt, they won't have any money to give to Parti Lepep.

I urge our fellow opposition members to post comments online and to let us know the names of companies and individuals that we should boycott in the future.

BOYCOTT UNTIL WE SEE REAL CHANGE IN SEYCHELLES. YOU HAVE THE POWER!

Since the elections, I have been in a rage and if I had a gun, I swear I would murder some of those people. But I am not a killer like Rene and Michel and this article has given me some food for thought. Yes, I agree that we should unite and boycott them. I was planning to buy a new small Yamaha engine for my boat in the near future and I will now look elsewhere. Another idea is to make some tshirts with the word boycott splashed across. I will buy one.

I think the key message is not to boycott everything but critical structures and instruments of the existing government. As mentioned earlier this includes:

1.SBC
2. Radio
3. Nation
4. Electoral system
5. Sources of funding political agendas i.e. Kalifa gifts. We no longer live in an era of gifts. These are bribes for the government
etc

Unfortunately, we cannot boycott all these business totally. In order to boycott them totally, we will have to exile ourselves like the majority who did so in the late 70's and 80's. We can do our best to avoid spending our money in these establishments, unfortunately we do not have much alternative. Maybe you can draw up an alyternative list of outlets where we can spend our money.

One the other hand we are a small nation, and the last thing we wand to do is return to the partsan atmosphere that was around in the mid-70's before independence. It is this mentality that cost the lives of so many at the hands of SPUP then !

Food for Thought

It's funny but these last few days I had been thinking of something around these lines, that we should start a boycott of not only the major institutions which prop up the system but also as much as possible the businesses which are surviving from favours and associated with LEPEP. I do believe that we can have a big impact and force the authorities to rethink how they treat us. I am not advocating aggression or violence in any way and we should refrain from using vitriolic attacks on individuals who support LEPEP but instead channel our efforts and organise ourselves in a SERIOUS, RESPONSIBLE AND DETERMINED WAY. We can start with a list of who these businesses are and those who are in the opposition, although I am sure that some of those businesses who are in the opposition would not want to be publicly identified as such for fear of being targetted. We can do it in a subtle way to start off. We can remain anonymous but at the same time remain in touch through this blog or a similar blog which may be set up.

For the 3rd person who said:

"On the other hand we are a small nation, and the last thing we want to do is return to the partisan atmosphere that was around in the mid-70's before independence. It is this mentality that cost the lives of so many at the hands of SPUP then!"

Sorry my friend, but we are already in a partisan atmosphere and it is worse than the mid-70's.

Anonymous said...

I agree with the above regarding partisanship. Party Lepep supporters have been boycotting the businesses of the opposition members for decades already and doing business among themselves.

It is high time we start doing the same. We don't even have to mention the companies as we know who they are. I agree that we should boycott these companies immediately.

Sound idea to boycott. But leading opposition figures and especially SNP and Ramkalawan, who represents the official opposition must stand strong this time and NOT participate in this Assembly Elections.

Imagine PL's reaction? Will they continue saying this approach is immature and infantile as they have said of the opposition's reaction to the election result?

They want someone to play their games. They need an opposition to show the world they are the legitimate democratic government of Seychelles.

I think this time, people should be careful about these laws that are amended but in practice nothing changes. Pl is a beast and it is time to give it a taste of its own medicine. Boycott this Assembly Election no matter what.

Sa liki Khalifa also should be sent a clear message; Stop interfering in Seychelles politics by funding James Michel. He can invite James Michel to formula one races all he wants, but lay off the destinies of people of Seychelles.

I think he should be clearly told that one day, that monstrosity he has built at La Misere will come down.

Under Albert Rene, Zonm Lib represents the repression of the rights of the people of Seychelles

Under James Michel,Khalifa's palace represents the prostitution of our land to foreigners.

Both should come down

Boycott them and send Albert to his mango farm in Australia.Island Construction and Petrousse as well, plus Allied Builders. And let us not forget STC. Muekesh is still running the show and they have set up shop in Dubai to continue selling goods to Seychelles. Boycott zot mem.

I know we are very angry, but can we refrain from swearing or using abusive terms when making reference to anyone. I am not a prude but our message becomes less effective when we put it across that way.

About the Boycott T-shirt;

You want to wear a boycott T-shirt and yet you post on here as "anonymous"? How will you manage that?

Anonymous said...

My friend, in Thailand they wear yellow tshirts or red one or green ones depending on who is boycotting.
Here we can just wear one with boycott written on it and the message would be loud and clear.

Mr. Boycott Anonymous or is
BOYO2COTE better?

As a seselwa living overseas I would be greatful for a list of businesses that support the corrupted regime. Our family is visiting seychelles during the summer vacation along with some of our foreign friends & I want to be aware of them so that I can pass on the message. I would rather spend my hard earned cash to the opposition instead making all these sppf/pl cronies richer everyday. That's the whole purpose of rigging the election so that favours can be returned.

Our family would have cancelled our trip to seychelles if we hadn't yet paid the airfares on air seychelles & our friends already booked their accomodation. Because we don't want to participate in enriching these crooks. We have planned a weekend on praslin, La-Digue & now we have cancelled it & would rather spend time we our parents on Mahe. We have also decided to cancelled our yearly trips to seychelles and we will be visiting other countries of the world.

I believe it's a very good idea to start boycotting them busineses & hit them where it hurts. Time to take drastic actions. I know it will be very difficult to boycott all of them especially if you live in seychelles but by boycotting the majority of them will send a clear message to all of the others. Now, they will realised that it's mostly opposition supporters that keeping this country going.
They have played with your future & now it's time to put them out of business!

Many of the 31000 who voted for Michel have low purchasing power, especially after their electoral bribes have been spent.

Anonymous said...

To boycott is a good idea. I have never bought an interlotto ticket or whatever tickets they sell or ever set foot in Amusement Centre or Pirates' Arms all because I hated the idea of enriching Ramados. I have also never set foot in Grocer's Supermarket because Danny Faure and his friends have stakes in the business. I have never subscribed to cable TV although I would have liked to watch CNN and BBC 24 hrs just because they are owned by Mukesh and his klick. I can afford to but I choose not to for those reasons. I think we should educate the opposition supporters who have purchasing power to avoid businesses connected to parti lepep.

Anonymous said...

After all, we the opposition people have the buying power in Seychelles. These 31,000 people who voted for Michel are opportunists, corrupt members of our society and the poor idiots who sold their votes for a 500 rupee note.

Christopher Gill stop insulting people mate. If you had shared some of the so called money you have got with them, then maybe the poor idiots as you are calling my fellow seychellois would not have taken the money. You have a superiority complex which obviously you could not exhibit abroad and so you are trying to fool some people here. You are just like all of us seychellois, not more superior at all. Stop pretending to be the god sent saviour of democracy in seychelles. Just be happy and thankful with what little you have and stop getting 'gro ker' with other people's wealth.

What we need is a list of the top 10 Parti Lepep donors and what busineses they own. It may not be possible to boycott everything owned by a PL supporter after 34 years.

Or we could concentrate on the small businesses as they will be more at risk from a boycott.

The friend of Michel the opposition leader of Mauritius yesterday about the concerned of democracy in Seychelles and he had called for serious political reform, But he stopped short of calling the election a sham. But indirectly by calling for electoral reform give indication that there will be pressure from outside on the dictator James Michel

Anonymous said...

The elections were no sham at all. The people have spoken. So let us move on!
Boycott? It is your call. Nothing will come of it.

Anonymous said...

These elections were a SHAM. SNP's main case this time is the photographic evidence of PL's checkpoints. These checkpoints were designed to monitor and record people going and not going to vote. The check points were intimidating. This means that on voting day people were not free to vote. It was widely known that the elections were not fair because of SPPF's massive advantage, but generally free. But these check points show that the 2011 elections were not even free. How many people were deterred from voting freely by these checkpoints ? Perhaps enough to make a difference.

Anonymous said...

This shows that if ever there was evidence that their support had dropped, PL will resort to more fraudulent electoral practices. SNP's mandate in 2011 is to fight for free and fair elections in future. Fair means taking away all the massive advantage that PL has between elections, advantage that is anachronistic in a democracy. PL has been given enough chances to play fair. Now is the time for us to hit back. Enough is Enough!

I will explain and give the reasons why it is not possible to effectively boycott SPPF supported businesses all the time. I will give you some real life examples.

1. We are a coward nation, me included. We do not understand sacrifice. We need the likes of Ghandi to have peaceful protest and boycott SPPF supplied goods. There is a Malabar who gave a brief analysis of the Seselwa on a previous blog, he was spot on.

2. The opposition may control 31,000 votes representing say 75% of the local spending power. This in itself is not going to make any impact, because of the non-principled tendencies we Seselwa practice. We are not prepared to sacrifice.

3. SPPF controls 80% and have monopolised all major businesses in Seychelles. I will explain and give 2 examples of my immediate experiences. I am renovating my house and I can only buy my blocks, macadam & rock sand from Joe Albert’s UCPS, or Sunny Khan’s CCCCL. I can choose to sacrifice like Ghandi and stop renovating my house until there is an SNP or opposition company on the scene that produces these building materials. You see bloggers this is one example were SPPF have full control and monopolies of big businesses. And us little fish cannot do without these big SPPF controlled business, we need them daily. Incidentally, we have some 50 individuals who control all such major businesses in Seychelles. Guess what, they are all SPPF.

4. Another example, I need to travel abroad during July and I need to book a flight to Chennai. My only viable options are Emirates, which is a Khalifa associated company or Qatar Airways which is an associate of the Al-Thani family who are benefiting from advantageous land deals from the government of the day. I further believe Qatar Airways rents their offices from Chamber of Commerce which now belongs to Ramadoss. Now can someone recommend a neutral airline for me to get to Chennai. I suppose, I can travel Kenya Airways, pay 150% more than Emirates or Qatar in order to get to Chennai, not forgetting the inconveniences and length of the journey. I have decided this will be too much of a sacrifice, therefore, will book with Qatar this week. There is an English saying which goes, Do not cut your nose to spite your face. This is the situation I find myself in.

5. I agree we should boycott these SPPF supported and owned business but we should ‘not cut our nose to spite our faces’ unless we are prepared to sacrifice like Ghandi did some 70 years ago.

6. You see my friends, we may have the spending power, but we do not have much cost effective choices in our own motherland.

Agree we can't boycott all of them. But we can boycott some where we can. Where they all support PL, it is not to the same extent. For example use QATAR before EMIRATES.

Why take such fatalistic approach on the future of our children? We are making sacrifices , we have already made a lot of sacrifices , lives included. It may not be enough but one must remember.. SPPF took over 30 years to fine tune their machinery. They have invested a lot of money, time and effort to get to where it is today with the like of Young Pioneer, NYS now JJ Spirit without counting the overwhelming cases of death, torture, disappearance etc...so let us keep things in the context of our ethos. We are a small nation, and fear will prevail most of the time just by the mere fact that we are small in numbers. This make us feel like we are alone in our struggle. That is why the opposition must unite. UNITY is the key. There is no other way out. For the sake of our children. please let us not give up.

Maybe Christopher is the one getting paid by PP to keep us all busy ! He has managed to fragment SNP to a very small degree with Viral trying to make a stand. Christopher, you can make a sincere gesture if you are willing to join in with the opposition to make change from within. If you carry on the way you are,on can only conclude that you are the biggest collaborater to SPPF/PP.

Anonymous said...

Our only way out vicious circle, is to have a strong, united and sincere opposition who is willing to engage in the political process to change this unfair system. Unfortunately, the road will be quite long. Change may not happen very quick, we need to have mutual respect for all Seselwa, be it white, black, malabar or chinese, government officials, president and ministers. We need to embark on a strategy to unite the opposition and to start educating the people of Seychelles, especially the ones who are enslaved and feel they can only exist at the mercy of SPPF/PP.

I will say it again, Seychelles is too small to have many little political parties fighting for the same common cause. United we will stand - Divided will always keep SPPF/PP to lord over us !

Reply to "Constant Opposition Bashing"-

I do not use my time to bash the (main) opposition. They are but a minor factor in this picture at this point.

You should know they do spend a lot of time attacking here as you can see from the fake comments and posts, that have nothing to do with me, and on facebook. I refute their attacks and I deal with them, I understand their short sighted nature and I deal with it.

It goes with the terrain.

I focus on "Seychelles" and at that I mean my quest to see a better Seychelles. I have investments here, I have a wife, children, a boy-10 years a girl-4 years old, and I am duty bound to see to it, that I leave the world one day a better place then what I came into. That means making Seychelles a better place.

I did not write this Boycott article. So I am reading and absorbing the ideas like anyone else.

There is always a correct course of action under any situation and there is also a wrong or flawed course of action.

When correct, we should say so.

When wrong, we should say so.

When we draw conclusions, they should be based on the best available ideas, not the worse ones.

We should not allow personalities to cloud our judgment. This will keep us in the ignorance we defame everyday.

We should not patronize PL, SNP, NDP because we support them. If you love Seychelles, you will highlight fault where there is fault, and you will give credit where credit is due.

Right now, there is little credit going around, because no one has done a good job at anything.

All parties have made a royal mess of our reality and it is about become a bigger mess then the last Five (5) years. Prepare for the worse.

Attack on Christopher Gill-

Good day. You say I collaborate with PP by supporting Viral Dhanjee.

Your comment shows great lack of intelligence on the matter.

I will enlighten you.

Viral Dhanjee is a registered member of MSR. When MSR was not registered, he was irate, and went about registering names on his own. I had called for a boycott.

After his registration was denied, I called him and offered support because he was a friend in need, in spite of going againt MSR line of Boycott.

I then encouraged him to fight Gappy, which he did galantly. I saluate his effort up to now. He holds a Joker Card in his hand and he can take it to the International Human Rights Courts.
Michel will have many sleepless nnights, knowing his mandate can be ruled illegal and void in the days to come.

Now, reference to cooperation with SNP. I have tried to work with your leadership. But they are thick. They see the one demensional world only. They do not see the two demensional world or the three demensional world of politics.

As far as I can see SNP just makes the wrong moves every time. It is sad, but we have to move on.

You will recall that Ramkalawan had promised to unite the opposition in exchange for my guest speech at a convention.

Instead, we had a 3 horse opposition race and two candidates sidelined by PL, myself and Dhanjee. This speaks boullions on SNP's collective state of mind.

With that said:
I am forming the Seychelles Freedom Party and MSR is in court whcih can go to the International Human Rights Court aswell.

The opposition cannot remain divided as per Ramkalawan's vision. We need a new vision of unity and I will work towards this.

Bickering aside, for 3 years, I called for an opposition conference. No one answered.

People call me daily and ask me to press forward and do not give up. I thank them for their support, and I will press forward for the love of Seychelles.

Thank you for your critic, you have allowed me an opportunity to explain myself and perhaps, you have made us all stronger and better for your opportunity.

Good day.

Chris, you and your lawyer talk rubbish. There is no international court for a Seychellois to go to if their human rights are broken by the government. The African Court of Justice has not been established yet. There are some international organisations but they are not a court to enforce your human rights. These organisations can embarrass a government with their critical reports but they provide no legal remedy.

If you were in Europe, you could go to the European Court of Human Rights. There is no equivalent for mere Seychellois mortals.

Hi Chris Gill
I am new to this blogg thing and a bit disoriented. I am also a bit confused as to my identity. As you are the leading authority on this matter I hope you will accord me an answer to the one question that I am going to ask you so that everything is set straight:
How far back does one have to go to show whether he/she is a Seychellois Rasine or Fabrike?
I need to know where I stand and I’m sure many more on here would like to know!

Mersi beaucoup.

Anonymous said...

I will attempt to explain the reasoning behind Christopher’s argument of Fabrike and Racine. Whilst I agree with some of Chris’s arguments I find it necessary to have a cut off period. Chris is advocating this cut off period to be independence date of 28th June 1976. I do no9t agree with this cut off date. I would like to suggest we recognise all Seselwa who have gained citizenship after independence as well subject to them obtaining it the legal way. However, if any such citizenship were bought or obtained illegally (example Krecir aka Jules Egbert Savy) then all such citizenship should be revoked. Moving on we should ensure our citizenship are not dished out to all and sundries, in fact from here on we should only grant work and residence permit. We are only a small island nation and if we carry on dishing out our citizenship like confetti it will only put pressure on our limited land and other resources. We should have only one category of citizen, we are all Seselwa. The real Seselwa Racine is Tortie D’terre and Coco De Mer all others including Christopher, JAM, RAM and me included are all ‘imports’. We should have embraced this policy back in 1976, it is never too late to start now.
Hope my above suggestion and input will go a long way to help formulate a policy on citizenship.

Reply to Smiley-

Good morning to you. I hope you are in good health and excellent spirit.

Allow me the opportunity to clear some unsettled issues in your mind.

You say MSR is an Indian Hating Party, how does Viral Dhanjee belong to MSR?"

This statement shows me one thing. Viral has read our manifesto and you have not. You have jumped on a bandwagon of hate mongering to discredit the MSR through associates who fear MSR leadership.

Viral is a Seychellois Rasin like I am, like the Jivan family is or oliaji family is under our definitions. 50 years ago they may not have been considered Seychellois Rasin. 150 years ago, I may not have been a Seychellois rasin.

We needed a cut off date and we logically deduced that June 29th 1976 is that date. It is that date, that we became a Nation and a people was born.

Switzerland has a similar system. Do you think anyone can become a citizen of switzerland and just run for high office? No.

In USA if you are not born in USA, you cannot run for high office. That is why Trump was pre occupied with Obama's birth certificate for months. If Hawaii was not a state, when Obama was born, he may have not been able to run as President.

The point is that these restrictions are not unreasonable. They are logical in a micro state.
But the PL is scared of them, because their power base and the balance of voting power rests in this camp of Fabrikes.

MSR creed is not based on race or origin as you assert. It affords priority citizenship to those who are Seychellois before Independence through birth or family, marriage, even naturalization.

We say those who become citizens while under GOP after 1976 are Fabrike citizens. They should not particate in choosing our leaders.

They are free to carry on business in Seychelles as they choose, but our politics does not concern them.

This policy is in reaction to Michel ongoing policy of selling passports for years. We now have thousands of Seychellois passports in the hands of non Seychellois.

This is where you should be focusing your energy, not on the unknown.

Have a nice day smiley, and do keep on smiling.

1. What do I want to achieve with a particular Boyoctt?

2. Can I get people to Boycott? Is the cause a valid one? Is it clearly ID?

3. What will I call on Government to do to not Boycott or call it off?

You cannot just go about boycotting everything for the sake of boycotting.

The opposition needs a plan, and alternative, and a focus.

In addition to what I have said above, a person can claim Seychellois Rasin status under humanitarian grounds and naturalization if not under GOP. They can also claim under the status of their spouse.

Some of these ideas, D.Savy gave us.
They were good then, and they are good now.

For spousal claim, we have noticed a lot of foriegners marry Seychellois (e) after 5 years divorce them and get citizenship. We suggested that the term be extended to 10 years marraige to protect the spouse and end the abuse.

Yes, they have, and we do not have room for racism born out of colonialist perceptions. There is no Planters Party in Seychelles today.

Racism has no room in any society.

You seem to have let the dibertrade of PL affect your perceptions.

What made you think MSR is a white race based party, when its membership is made up of all types of races and all types of origins?

The success of Seychelles has been our ability to look beyond the race and color.

The failure of Seychelles under PL is to take advantage of this unique national character and just sell passports to raise spending money and buffon our national character .

This case of dishing out Seychelles citizenship to all and sundries must stop and it must STOP NOW, TODAY The autorities should not process any application for new citizenship, unless it passport applicant is a new born and have undisputed rights to a Seychelles passport. We should have a meaningful debate and formulate a clear policy. Is there anything the opposition and anyone else can do to put this high on the government agenda. Now that SNP has decided to boycott the Assembley it will be a real challange to address this very important matter.

Anonymous said...

SNP tends to operate in a vacumm thinking no one else exist.

It is the arrogance that has caused the defeat in the last elections. Read the numbers carefully and they tell you a story.

I suggest an Opposition Conference take place, and a memorandum is finalized with all parties to BOYCOTT the Assembly elections.

PL will field a fake opposition party if the real opposition Boycotts.

If you want to take the shroud of legitimacy away from PL, it is not a passvie effort, it is in fact and must be a pro active effort, since the Boycott of elections by SNP NDP Boulle came at a very late time.

The work now, is uphill.

Once a Boycott is successful the selling of passports will stop. Why? Because we can boycott other areas and the country cannot function in this manner.

There is plenty of room for accomodation for issues that concern us. PL newly recruited advisers like Savy, St. Ange, Pool, and Pierre, will all give a hand to give out some much needed good advise.

I hope we can all work together for a better Seychelles. So Christopher & Ramka;lawan this advise applies to you both as well. Put your differences aside star engaging with each other before engaging with the government !

I cannot speak for Ramkalawan, but I can speak for myself.

When Boulle asked to see me, I went to his office and met with him. I listened, and he listened. I told him what I had to say, and maintained my position. He did the same. We are, where we are.

When Volcere wanted to see me, I went to see him. I listened, said what I had to say he did the same and I maintained my position. Today, NDP is where it is. MSR is where it is and so am I.

When Ramkalawan wanted to see me, I went, I listened, said what I had to say, maintained my position on a united opposition. My position has not changed. His has changed often since I last met him, to the point he even BOYCOTT, after the results, though strategically very very late.

When St. Ange or D. Savy want to see me, I see them, I listen, I say what has to be said. My position will not be changed .Theirs has changed politically-materially so I am looking forward to see where this all pans out just as you.

Why do I meet whoever wants to meet me? Because it is the correct course of action if we are to allow the best ideas to rule the course of the day. The era of personality politics is over.

Michel winning the elections by rig and sham show us that.

Caveat: They will have a hell of a job to convince me Michel is doing a good job when 97% of our oil quadrants are sold, and we are still BANKRUPT and while arrivals went up last year, recievables went down -15%.

When you see division in the opposition, please do not blame me. I am not the prophet of division, I have been only a victim like all Seychellois!

Christopher, as you're in listening mode, I'll tell you this - and it comes with sincerity: You seriously have to relook at the Seselwa Rasin/Fabrike creed for us to start making some headway. That we should not be selling or giving out our nationality to all and sundry is fine with me. I'm also fine and it's logical to restrict the standing in political offices to seychellois born in the country. It's also logical to have issues with so-called "seychellois" who have obtained their nationality under dubious circumstances. But I cannot subscribe to a policy where we are bent on segragting sychellois into categories - like I saw recently on this blog, some people wanting to make a difference between Seychellois living overseas and those living in Seychelles. If you're serious about uniting the opposition, it involves compromise from everyone.

These photographs of Michel's inauguration tell an interesting story. After buying this election, Michel had a subdued ceremony. No foreign dignitaries accepted their invitation. You know how Parti Lepep like to show that foreigners like them. In these photos, while Michel and Faure are close, Nathalie Michel is standing apart. The gap between Michel and his latest wife is so humongus that Veronique Adeline can squeeze in easily. From Nathalie's body language, you would think Michel is about to commit uxoricide.

I agree with the 4th blogger up here: The MSR Creed must be reconsidered and made digestible for all, especially the corrupt and partial electoral comissioner.

Citizens who have gained their passport through hard work and devotion are as good citizens as us diaspora Seychellois who have gained ours legally and through devotion to our adopted land, you being one of those too Christopher(ref your US citizenship).

MSR will get nowhere with its standpoint today. The Khalifa case is already forgotten by most Seychellois and MSR can no longer use that as fuel. The La Misere residents have all accepted their money, aprt froma few, and they've probably already spent it.

I think it's time to change tactics and be more digestable for all, starting by allying with Dhanjee and once again inviting SNP to cooperate and possibly unite.

I was born before that year and like the blogger just after you (12:02am) correctly pointed out although somewhat sarcastically, I am a Kenya born so where do I stand on the question of my citizenship? One of my parents was born in Seychelles but left at the age of one yr old and has never been back. I came back in the late 80s I was twenty something, I’m married to a Seychellois girl of Indian origin so what status will our three children hold? We are worried and this is not funny!

Reply to Listening Mood-

MSR recognizes the right of every Seychellois Rasin to a place in their homeland. This includes the right of every Seychellois Rasin to vote and choose their leaders.

That includes the right of all Seychellois Rasin to vote who reside overseas.

I have been away from the blog for most of the weekend and on Sunday evening I found some brash statements being made and some fighting between the issue of overseas Seychellois and non over seas Seychellois.

You need to step back a little when you read these threads with no names. PL causes and fakes debates to discourage people and to spread confusion.

Anyone that has read MSR CREED knows that we demand that over seas Seychellois have the right to vote. No group has been more voicerous then us on this issue.

MSR will never come to power. What MSR needs to do is to change its creed (forget about humanitarian grounds etc) regarding rasin etc. This is to allow more people to feel that they can support MSR and that MSR can be part of the mainstream opposition. MSR cannot be part of the mainstream united opposition as long as it seeks to discriminate against some Seychellois who became citizens through legitimate means. SNP cannot work with MSR as long as MSR seeks to discriminate against some of its supporters that MSR would call fabrikes.

Anonymous said...

Reply to SNP cannot work with MSR-

Yes, I understand your position. Your leader has been famous for espousing half baked TRUTHS to the people of Seychelles.

He has said, "Sesel Pou Seselwa", and advised that SNP will do a 25 year lease for foriegners. What a joke!

SNP did not have the courage to define what is a Seselwa as we did. They stayed silent, because it might have won them the election. They want to be No 2.

SNP did not tell the people who they consider to be foriegners. They were silent so they can keep on taking money from shady people.

We know why as well. So do not think MSR is dying to work with men that promote half baked TRUTHS and pass for being sleek in the eyes of the common man. To us this is just part of the scam we have to deal with. We are well prepared for that.

SNP mentality is to seek reasons why they cannot work with another group in the hope that they will go away. That is why SNP is the No2horse all the time, they are mentally resigned to defeat.

Losers think like losers. Winners think like winners. It proves true all the time. If SNP thought like winners, they would have listened to me and they would be at State House by now. I would be working on my business and focusing on my childen more.

At MSR like at SFP we win everyday. We do not wait for Five (5) years to determine if we win or lose. To us, every little victory, should be celebrated. We clock many a day everyday.

We do not complain when we have set backs or face great challenges. We do so with love and joy for our country, as we know we are exposing a sham regime that rigs elections.

Our members do not get depressed over a sad state of affairs. We brain storm and work around the mess. We lift each other up, and carry our brother when he is down, encourage our sister to be better then PL wants her to be.

We pray to God for guidance and we bring the Word of the Lord into our politics to guide us. We do not hide the word. For the word was not meant to be left on a desk collecting dust.

When we are called racists, it is like water off a rock, for where we stand on this rock we shall not be moved. It is like calling Jesus a mad looney man and Barabas a great man and saviour of humanity.

Barabas was a great murderer pardoned by the people, for those sell outs who attempt to pardon Michel.

SNP is the party of oldies but goodies. You are stuck in a time warp of prejudices that hurt your cause greatly.

MSR SFP is a movement for the young people of Seychelles. We are tired of all the old politics of trick or treat SNP and PL have dished out . To us, it is child's play on the lives of people.

Today, we are claiming our right as Seychellois! We do not need SNP or PL to say to us we have a right.
Seychelles is our birthright, we are born FREE. We do not need PL or SNP to sanction our Freedom and our claim to our Patrimony.

Besides, you are all a bunch of leftists, born out a communist system and bred under the tutelage of the One Party State.

We have no time for that.

But that being what it is, in the interest of UNITY, we will always keep the door open to dialogue.

I personally am not a Facist. The fact that I entertain you on STAR and answer your dibertribe indicates that I am clearly not a Facist. I am a believer in Liberty and respect of all individuals. I fight for Freedom for Seychelles, because no one else does it effectively.

The SNP leadership has been bought into the system and has resigned itself to being No 2 with great content. And as we plan to boycott and segregate businesses owned by PL supporters from businesses owned by opposition supporters I get flashbacks to my school days and history lessons about pre WWII Germany where jewish owned shops were urged boycotted. Only difference then is that it was the party in power urging the boycott.

A fellow blogger further up said something so true: That we Seychellois are good at complaining, but not so good at making sacrifices.

Nobody will boycott as nobody wants to make the necessary sacrifices. What are we going to do? Boycott every laboutik malbar as they most probably support PL and have Seychelles passports? Who is to choose which businesses are to be boycotted? Businesses of anyone who supports PL or only those owned by PL?

Are we prepared to stop drinking Seybrew as it's government owned(partly)? Stop buying petrol from Seypec? Walk to work? I think not.

How is St Ange feeling this morning having passed over for a ministerial position? Unless he reckons it'll come his way in the next reshuffle? all the licking and he's left with organising karnaval again?

Anonymous said...

Reply to Carnival-

There is a program you can BOYCOTT and have an incredible impact.

Boycott the CARNIVAL.

Put it to Government that you will Boycott Carnival because over Sr. 20 Million was wasted on EXPO 2020 for a political campaign.

Keep the Boycott in place until the SR. 20 Million is paid back.

Demand a public tender of the cheque viewed on SBC and statement that the funds were mis used in the election campaign.

With hold support of Carnival until these steps are taken.

Since St. Ange is so good at setting up Carnivals, also demand from the Government of the day that he be consigned to the post indefinately, failing of which we will look into other events to BOYCOTT and so on.

The list is endless, but we need solid leadership to implement this .

I believe that is the point at this time.

More evidence of how crap SBC leadership is. They had no difficulty finding David Pierre and ending up in a field with their camera crew to find out why he had resigned as deputy general secretary of SNP and national assembly member.

But they seem to be having problem tracking down Jacquelin Dugasse to find out why he has resigned as Minister for Land Use and Habitat. It was known during the election campaign that he had resigned but SBC imposed a black-out. Some of them were seen in PL activities and they have no stomach to find out a minister has resigned, at a time when we are told the president can't change ministers because of the economic climate.

So, there is nothing new at the Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation, despite the promise of "en nouvo Sesel". We will be kept in the dark on matters of national importance. Did they all study at the University of Twits in Wales or Australia ?

Good response to the RACIST issue comment. When they say MSR or you are racist. Do not try to explain as you did well this time.
Define the agenda, vision, mission and values of MSR and SFP once and for all and refer to it consistently. Package the message in simple terms for improved communication. They will never give up and you will not tire out.

The best way is NOT TO ANSWER TO SUCH RIDICULOUS QUESTIONS but TO ASK THEM BACK THE QUESTION. i.e. HOW and in WHAT WAYS, WHO are you or we RACIST TO.

Unfortunately a name will not really work for many obvious reasons.
The best way is to simply manage those SPP bloggers with WISDOM.
However do not be discouraged.
There is a negative as well as a positive side to this. As we do not know who they are, they also do not know who we are. Remember they can break in an office to trace anything to know who you are. So there is an element of uncertainty by the current status of identity. As you would know, knowing your adversary or enemy is critical, but not knowing your enemy is a threat that Kalifa money may not always be able to buy.

Sorry mon tip e travay. Mon fer shift work…some of us have to keep our nose to the grinstone...hope I didn’t keep anyone waiting too long…

OK I’ll try and put my "idiosyncrasies" in another way…to your question of who I think you are racist to.
You want to racially discriminate against our foreign workers and naturalised Seychellois living and working in Seychelles. Your main targets being Indians, Philipino, Mauritian, Malagasy, Chinese and Eastern Europeans immigrants. (Western Europeans and Americans are O.K. because it’s fine to be descended from them). You are against them acquiring citizenship basing your reasons on the suspicions that these are granted out of favour for supporting and voting for the government and its party and also with the excuse that they are taking jobs from Rasines.

Fascism: Your extreme nationalist view is based on all of the above. Like all fascist you fear losing your national identity through the influx of immigrants not realising that we were actually made up of immigrants of past and we are still growing. You are giving the impression that your doctrine is that of an economically trans-class movement in order to get a large following. Given power, to achieve that I think you would likely resort to ethnic cleansing through deportation of immigrants that are deemed undesirables similar to what Idi Amin Dada did back in the early 70s. Fortunately these are just fantasies drawn from your loss of touch with reality and your relentless quest to be accepted as a true rasine to make up for you long absence from these shores.
Unfortunately for you we live in an era of globalization and there is nothing that you and your movement can do to stop this ongoing progress!
Remember how you used to go on the other Koze Seselwa blog and propagate the “third way” in order to rally as many people to its cause as possible saying that it was the only way? You have indeed shown what your third way is; MSR and SFP!

If I am wrong then tell me what your credo is. Please indulge me and I will forever hold my piss…umm peace!
Personally I think you just want a great big hug and a cuddle and to be accepted…

James Mancham paid an arse-licking visit to State House to congratulate James Michel and annoy the 45% who can't be bought.

For the second time, the coward was overseas during the election, hoping to escape any violence that SPPF or PL would unleash if they lose, returning to endorse PL.

Mancham was given plenty of time on SBC to endorse PL's victory but not a word about the electoral practices that prompted even SADC and Commonwealth observers to comment.

When he asked Michel not to attend the 5 June celebrations, SBC reminded us that Michel has not attended as president.

We have survived the post election motorcade and prolonged victories, we can survive the 5th June
celebrations. PL can celebrate the overthrow of James Mancham as much as they want. The coward is suffering from delusions if he thinks 45% will sympathise with him as PL celebrates the 34th anniversary of the coup d'état.

Mancham looked and sounded drunk on SBC tonight. We will probably learn soon from the SBC camera crew who filmed him whether he was drunk.

Anonymous said...

He does not call for democracy. He calls for stability. He calls for tolerance by insulting and antagonising the 45% whose vote can't be bought. PL has started advertising their 5 June rally. -- a suitable response to Mancham's buffoonery.

Anonymous said...

Mancham has become a very divisive figure, while he promotes his self-interests. He had nothing to say about PL's electoral practices.

Anonymous said...

SBC spoilt him yesterday. They followed him to State House in the morning and then followed him home to film the interview. SBC obviously recognises Mancham's entertainment value as a clown. Michel on the other hand is craving for recognition of his bought mandate. He has had less than a dozen messages from world leaders. That's a lot fewer messages than he sends out every year. Not getting recognition from 45% of "mon pep" must hurt this vain man. Reminder in the international news of what votes Arab money can buy is not helping his case, but may attract more people like Mancham to State House.

Anonymous said...

Mancham attitude is purely that of a greedy opportunist and a hypocrite. What he had been doing is go into hiding on election day for fear of violence? And then after that he came back to congratulate whoever had won the election. He would never show his disapproval of the way the election was conducted because he is simple a parasite who enjoys living on the blood and sweat of harding working Seychelloise. His is a coward who is possess with self gratification. Thanks to god that political he is in the history bin forever.

Party Leadership

Articles have appeared in various newspapers or on internet sites on the issue of the leadership of the SNP. I take this opportunity to clarify the position.

I have not resigned as Party Leader. For the moment, I have informed the SNP Executive Committee that I do not intend to be the Presidential Candidate for the party in a future election. Naturally, this means that the party must consider the question of leadership as well as the direction that the party takes in the future.

These issues will be taken up internally first, within the party executive and with the district representatives. Subsequently, it will involve members of the party in a Convention.

After any crucial election, it is necessary for a political party to take stock and examine its direction and programme. This is what the SNP is engaged in at the moment. I trust that it will arrive at decisions that are best for the party and for the country.

This is how it can work-

I went shopping today, and passed by Ramadoss brothers store. I went on to Supervalue and spend 2,500 there on food.

So that is 2,500.00 in sales Ramadoss family will not have today.

If they lose 2500 a day, that is 75,000.00 per month. x 12 = 900,000.00 in a year. In 5 years, it will be 4,500,000.00. Money they probably gave PL to buy sell outs!

Numbers add up. Seychelles is small and PL will have to size up fast. The situation is not sustainable as it is.

Never underestimate the collective spending power of the opposition.

In exchange, we should call for implementation of true demoratic reforms and truely free economy. Not a crony economy.

We also want a halt to the sale of passports and governments disclosure of the names on the voters list that bought passports or were granted citizenship while under GOP.

Then once that is done, we can call off a Boycott. In the meantime, intensify it individually and build up each day.

I need to subscribe to a newspaper now, and I will sign two subcriptions to Today Seychelles, instead of Nation.

Adverts I have will now go to Seychelles Today aswell and not Nation.

SAR,
Even if someone want to answer your questions but what will that change want you refused to understand the answers given to you.Using racism, facism etc.. to try to tell us that Pp illegal practices are okay, theni right to concider that you have a problem.Pp will try to portraited others who do not agreeed with them and exposed them in a negative way ,but that is a common rule in communism, their motto is with us or the high way.Why that becuase they think they superior than others and they were given the rights to dominate others.Instead of calling others by names ,the question you should ask yourself is what rights does Pp has to illegally sold our nationality and land to foreigners ?MSR leadership has repeatedly point out that any person being victim of terror etc.. by a dictatorship would be granted a free way to stay in our country in order to save his or her life. What PP called immigrants are in fact not immigt^rants but peolpe who came here ,99.9 percent of them,to the like RAMADOSS on GOP and were illegallly dished our passports by Pp inorder to make themselves lots of dollars. That has nothing to do with racism or else but a disrepect of the constitution and rule of laws thus the nation as a whole simply crimes. You have a gang of bustards who abused state institutions for their own personal gains.Any person with a sense of justice will fight against such practices unless you from part of the gang then your position is obvious and as a result there is no need to answer your question for it won't change you fault belief.

I speak as one opposition leader, not as an SNP-

I have been interacting with Wavel for years. The last three years of interaction has shown me conclusively, the man is not up to the job.

Having him run your party or standing as a Presidential candidate is like putting a cabin crew host in charge of flying a 767plane because he speaks well about flying and it sounds nice when he says things.

I am sorry, the sooner SNP figure this out, the sooner we can all move on. Failing that we will expose him and his scams so that he does move on by G- Force.

No offense, but he has become the main obstacle to change in the country and PL love him right where he is.

One of my professers told me once, "you cannot be polite with incompetence, it takes you with it and swallows you".

This is what some of you call arrogant.

I ID it as being assertive b/c I know what I am saying. When I do not know I stay quiet and listen and learn.

You all must not forget, Wavel was tasked to win an election not tasked to come No. 2 again and do worse.

He even sent out a flyer saying people should not vote for Volcere or Boulle that is a vote for Michel. Madness, but it is the reason why he got 40%, before the election the spread was much more even. He knew he had the opposition hostage because Michel is such a pathetic alternative. One MSR man cried literally, and cursed Wavel for having voting for him.He felt used, a little like a rape victim, because he did not want Michel.

If we boycotted when the Commonwealth turned up and sat in on Freedom Square for 3 days, SNP would be in power today or well on its way.

It is Wavel that came up with a stratgey that included a divided opposition and the use of fake profiles on Facebook that we in MSR turned and exposed him for what he is.

In the end SNP could not even use Facebook as a tool anymore. He started that. I finished it!

It is a total shame.

You SNP people need to get a life and start handling things seriously. You handle our political future like it is some kind of a game.

You better recall, and recall well, that you are dealing with people's lives!

So straighten up and get a serious leader. Failing that, toss in the towel and shut down as a Party after SFP registers.

You have regulated opposition politcs to the dinosaur age.

Sorry, I know you guys are thin skinned and do not take well to critic. But that shows why none of you should be in politics in the first place.

In politics, if you can dish it out, you better be able to take it.

Who are you?

2.Who are you anyway?

I don't take orders from anyone. Just like I do not expect you to take orders from anyone.

Men of reason sit down, and reason, make a plan and strategy, and all sides does their part, and the results come together. In this realm, there is no one man greater or better then the next man. We all have something to contribute to the puzzle of political success.

Each man, woman, is a valuable component to the whole. You cannot lose one section of the voting base and replace it with another, if you are serious about winning. That is what you did in the last elections .You lost one base, and replaced it with another, when you should have been joining all bases into one force.

You Invincible obviously never figured that out, all these years in politics, preaching the politics of division. You spent more time with Ferrari trying to kill Boulle and kill DP off that you lost focus on the bigger picture, of removing the PL SPPF with a UNITED OPPOSITION PLAN.

How many times did you pass my house and office on Praslin in the last 12 months. You even came to know my pedophile squatter and mistook him for a supporter, because he told you what you wanted to hear. He is SPUP SPPF PL to the core and has two houses. Mitcy Larue babysits him and keeps him out of jail.

Friends do not tell you what you want to hear, they tell you what you must know.

Girlies taking your money , tell you what you want to hear, not friends.

I don't need you MNA salary. I don't need your 70% Pension for life, I don't need your party SNP breifcase with Sr. 50,000.00 in it to walk in town. I stand on my two feet as a freeman as God intended me to. So when I say something, I mean it, I am not saying it to take your money.

ICTORIA, June 1 (Xinhua) -- In its first meeting on Wednesday since its re-nomination by freshly re-elected President James Michel, the Seychelles Cabinet of ministers reviewed the interim reports of the international election observer missions on last month's presidential elections.

It agreed to two of its most salient points. These are namely the liberalization of airwaves and creation of an Electoral Commission.

In a press communiqué issued this afternoon, Chief Press Secretary in the Office of the President Srdjana Janosevic said that "The Cabinet decided to take the necessary Constitutional amendments needed for the creation of an electoral commission" and "to make amendments to the Political Parties Act to enable regulation of sources and expenditure of political party funds."

The same communiqué said that the Cabinet also "decided to the reform of the laws which regulate the cost of operating private radio and TV stations."

Three missions representing four international and regional organizations observed the presidential elections which took place between May 19 and 21 and which was won by incumbent President James Michel.

The missions, one from the Commonwealth Secretariat, another from the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) and a joint one from the Indian Ocean Commission and the Organization International de la Francophonie, declared the elections are free and fair but noted that airwaves had to be liberalized and an electoral commission set up to replace the Electoral Commissioner.

These demands were also made by the opposition led by Reverend Wavel Ramakalawan who had decided to boycott the sittings of the National Assembly until they are addressed.

That was a pathetic cabinet meeting that we saw on SBC today. The meeting was conducted in English, with James Michel unable to express himself and mispronouncing English words. Why does he not use Creole ? No wonder this country was made bankrupt. It was like a secondary school students meeting. There is absolutely no talent in Parti Lepep. It's scary.

Parti Lepep is already feeling the pressure for electoral reform. But we need to see exactly what they have in mind. Meanwhile, SNP should keep piling on the pressure. 45% are right.

With the Arab Slave Michel cabinet of ministers announcing that the necessary amendments that have been address for years and through their arrogance they have play with international institution and local political parties by doing nothing but on the contrary harden their stance to reinforce institutions which are kingpins in oppressive, dictatorship and communism regime as in Zimbabwe, North Korea, China, Cuba,in most of the Arab world and now in Uganda.

Wazel must be very careful with his cosy attitude towards Michel administration and he should learn from the past that Michel is a deceitful individual his is oppossessed with power and control to protect his entourage with all their ill gotten riches and siphoning the little resources of the Seychelloise people. I am afraid this is what the 55% of the voters did not see.

Cunning Albert Rene knew exactly why he wanted Michel as his successor. He knew that he had no leadership quality and let alone the intelligence to go with it. But he would be able to protect him and he would run the show behind the scene. Seychelles politic share a remarkable politic as the Russian politic. Putin running the show and Medelev being impotent and trying to assert himself.

Wavel needs to ensure that these reforms are not only address but they should be fully implemented and the composition of these institutions should be scrutinize. We do not want reform which is chaired by Lepep puppets. Unless the oppositions are fully satisfy with everything 100% they should continue their boycott because this time there should be no margin for error and we should also think of our indian ocean spring to put down this illegimate government who is in power through abuses of state ersources, brides and by breaking all the rules of a truly democratic system.

The opposition should not forget to also address the issue of the national assembly where currently the leader and the deputy leader are from lepep in order so that they can assert their control in the legislature.

REMEMBER OPPOSITION NO STONE SHOULD BE LEFT UN TURN. ANY REFORMS SHOULD INVOLVE ALL THE OPPOSITION IN THE SEYCHELLES SO AS TO PREVENT SUSPICION OF BEHIND CLOSE DOOR DEALING WHICH HAS TARNISHED SNP IMAGE FOR THE LAST FIVE YEARS. THIS TIME SNP NEEDS TO BE SEEN IN AS ACTING IN THE PEOPLE INTEREST ABOVE PERSONAL INTEREST. ANY REFORM DISCUSSIONS SHOULD BE OPEN AND TRANSPARENT. REMEMBER SNP DANCING TO MICHEL TUNE IS THE ROAD TO INSANITY.

Reply to speechless Invincible-

You ask what was I doing during the elections. This is a good question. Here is the answer:

Google "Seychelles Sham ELections"

Google "Seychelles Rigged Elections"

I exposed the sham to the world. I met with reporters, fed them information, and even met Commonwealth Observers to discuss the issues twice.

Then, go see the Report on UN Human Rights Commission sanction on Seychelles, that has 3 cases of MSR, one if SNP and one with Tata Desaubin, which I mad esure was covered by filing an Indpenendent Report. LUNGOS cannot be trusted 100% as it is funded by GOS. It will cover GOS in a tough position.

The latest article highlights Seychelles being ranked with Ukraine in Press Freedom. Read that. Then put it in Regar if you have the courage. I doubt you do.

Additionally, I had numerous cases before the courts MSR and Viral Dhanjee's wherein we tried to stop the election and prevent a disasterous result, we now must live with, no thanks to bad leadership and judgment from "Invincible" himself.

Yes I can give advise. But I can take it aswell if it is mertied and valid advise. On these blogs, I take advise everyday from Seychellois form everywhere in the world.

So the sooner you get off your self righteous horse, that put you where you are, the sooner we can get on with the healing of this opposition and healing of this country.

Your politics of false superiority and division are a grand failure.

I will say it publically until the matter is rectified.

Why? Because under this policy, we will always lose when we should always be winning. The results of the votes and non votes tell you that.

After watching SBC last night, it's clearer why we are in the shit that we are. We have a president with a half brain trying to speak English and around the cabinet table a bunch of morons busy taking notes! I did not hear a single word from anyone of them. James Michel's cabinet meeting, it appears, is an occasion for him to preach to his minions, they make notes and go back to their ivory towers. Where's the debate? Where are alternative views? Where are ideas? Guys get real because at this rate we shall continue to sink deeper into the shit.

This cabinet meeting showed on tv last night was worse than a kindergaten teacher talking to 4 year-olds. The level of the sermon, let alone English was PATHETIC. How can these ministers sit around and accept to be so patronised?? Don't they see that their Emperor has no clothes? Don't they see that Michel is clearly telling them that THEY are the problem? And they're ok with that?

Michel speeches are known to be rediculous and boring,he probably decided to make his speech in English this time becuase he knew that nobody would understand a word coming from his mouth. And an old at his age with a denture does not help at either though he tried hard to articulate his words. What we saw on TV was a demonstration of how communism works. When the omnipotent Dear Leader speak everybody must listen and nobody should say a word, normal isn't it ?for a dictator is there to dictate.

Reply to Jeanne D'arc and others on Michel Cabinet Speech .

First off, yes it is Communism at its best. But mind you, Rene would never, never make such a theatre with state cabinet meetings.

Michel is implementing an AUTHORITARIAN REGIME tone.

This is worse then Communism.

It is a take from Shiekh Khalifas' style of operation he learnt in the dessert visits. Khalifa is in the background telling Michel how to handle his people. That is why the mountains are burning. Khalifa does not know Seychellois!

Khalifa does a press release for a phone call. Michel is going down that route.

He is following Khalifa.

On the water crisis, which his own government ignored for years, PUC is now buying domestic tanks to truck water, to resolve a national water crisis.PUC and GOS should have expanded dams , delivery, storage capacity for the last 34 years and reduce leakage which is 84% on Mahe. Acceptable levels is 18% internationally to qualify for utilities financing. They could have given business and domestic customers 400% tax rebates for installing water catchments to resolve the matter.

They did nothing.

The next Five (5) years we will deal with total failure, and the Arabs will come in, as they arrived one week after elections, yesterday.

Khalifa came with his heads government yesterday.

Stand up, and be counted, get involved, do your share, do not sit on the side lines and complain in vain, or we will all lose our country!

It is a pity that what is going on in our country we read it from star. Yet SNP has a web site which is rarely updated. Please SNP keep your supporters updated. So what is really going on the Seychelles. Why SNP is not telling us about the invasion of Arabs in our country? Guys let us take the bull by its horn keep on the pressure let the 55% know what they have voted for as a result of their laissez faire attitude. The pressure should be sustain on this undemocratic regime. By the look of it . It is very true that Gill is doing three quarter of the work and SNP is doing one one quarter . This I believe should be the other round. Why i am saying that i have make it my duty to visit SNP site regularly but honestly there is not much. I have not read any vision since the last election.

Honestly i think Gill is doing a lot of work to keep lepep on their feet.

I would have expected that SNP would have something to say about this so called cabinet meeting on Michel with regard to all his media circus concerning reform. SNP does not have to go on SBC. They should try to make good us their web site by making it more interesting and interactive instead at least we would obtain different perspectives of what is going on in the Seychelles and what SNP is really doing after this sham election.

Please the opposition keep on the pressure on Lepep. We have to pill up the pressure ceaselessly for the five years to ensure that this time there is genuine change. We are fed up of Michel deceit and lies.

Reply to Gill 2/3 and SNP 1/3-

Yes, you are right, this is an unfortunate situation.

I have written an article you can view now on www.seychellesreality.blogspot.com.the Seychelles Freedom Party (SFP) blog. It places PL right where they have taken us: ONE PRTY STATE.

Now, it will be SNP that will take us out to please PL. When that happens as Mancienne, said it will happen, remember who said SNP will just spread confusion and at the end, just keep PL there.

SNP is guilty of playing No . 2 Political strategys. I am aware of it early, because I am politically in tuned and well experienced in the ways of how Victoria has run.

Each day, more people must open their eyes to this.

When you do, we need to unite under one party, I propose we all unite under Seychelles Freedom Party. The manifesto is made up of a re affirmation of our human rights as per the Constitution of Seychelles.

The sad thing about this comment, is I only take a couple of hours a day to put pressure on PL deligently. While SNP has how many MNA's? How many leaders? How many lawyers? How many spinnners? How many journalists?

Frankly the whole situation really saddens me, but we do not have time to be depressed. We must over ride PL and beat them every day and win with the TRUTH.

On Praslin today, hotels have no water. Trucks have to bring in water if they can find it. But we are expanding the port.

On Mahe Eden Island is expanding but norht Mahe has not had water for over one year.

Stop bashing the opposition. 45% are right.

Why does SNP do not talk about Arabs?Because SNP has one role in this country to act as opposition party for Pp .You saw RAM just after his defeat rushed on SBC united with Volcere ,Boule to proclaimed the election was rigged, but where is the follow up? He has almost half of the population behind him. You know what?RAM has long negociated his perks with PP on the very first day he dicided to quite being a priest to join politics.Ram did not turn politician by his own will,he was paid and asked by RENE to do so in return for perks. We must not forget that RAM's father was a very close friend to RENE , aconvinced communist too.We must not be surprised by RAM actions he was paid to do just that in order to impede any possibility of change in the so called a multi-party system.

SNP supporters should pressure RAm to leave now,he is a collaborator of Pp,helping to accentuate the surfering of our people.

It is in deed a pity that Chris must do the job of two opposition parties, this is the kind of leader our country needs: a geniune, talented, alert, intelligent etc..person who believes in his country and people before anything else. That is the qualities of a geniune leader who one must not only comment of his good jobs but support him in his endeavor for geniune change in this country. We must UNITE as a people to defence what are ours>We must fight this PP PATRIMONIAL SYSTEM OF RULE imposed on us by force. This country is ours it is our rights and duty to protect and fight for it.

COMESA Council of Elders which includes Mancham (he was nominated by Michel) is to advise the African Union on elections in Egypt. I can see the Egyptians complaining about these elections. Days after Mancham endorsed Michel's election, even Michel has had to concede that the election was not free and fair and that changes to make elections free and fair need to be made.

Like the election observers that we had, Mancham's role shows that not much thought is put into selecting people to oversee elections.

At the time of his nomination to COMESA Council of Elders, Mancham said that it was Michel's recognition of the important role he has played in national reconciliation. It sounds like incestuous back-scratching between Michel and Mancham.

Whether it is Michel or African Union both do not have any credibility.Afircans for example, in the last election in Ethopia was part of the many international organisations called in to observed the elction, guess what! All these organisation mostly European were united in their declaration after the Elelction namely that it was rigged and the only exception was African Union who concidered the election was free and fair, rediculous isn't it?Africans should fix their own problems first before being observers in other countries election, they are known to be incompetent and easily bribed it is somehow part of their personalities. An other example of their incompetent is on the issue of Lybia, while the whole world ,including all those lybian fighting , are calling on Gadhafi to go,African think he must stay.

As to Mancham nomination by Michel.

I do not beleive Egyptians need lesson from anyone and less from persons coming from countries under dictorships>. The broken link that artificailly devided them namely Mubarak and his ilks are gone.We do not have lesson to give to Egyptians, in fact they should be an aspiration for us to the same.

My advise to Mancham clean up your own house and do something for your country and people by opposing pp dictatorship before going to give moral lesson to others.

On Mancham-

We must not forget that it is Michel who gave go ahead for COMESA appointment.

JRM is a stooge of Michel, and has been for a long time.

He only played an opposing view when he could was not getting what he wanted. Once Michel started to deliver, JRM was like a cat to a door mat.

We must look beyond the person and seek to rescue Freedom which Michel takes from us. JRM cannot take our Freedom away by asserting we have it when we do not.

Remember the song: Una Pluma Blanca, over the mountains I fly, as free as can be and no one can take...... my Freedom... away............not Michel, and not Khalifa................and not JRM!
