While the election commission was grappling with the reality of the Constitution of Seychelles being abrogated and the imminent death of the Third Republic under PL, State House announced late last week that Abu Dhabi government officials were in Seychelles to present us a master plan for the smallest capital in the world, the capital of Seychellois national pride, dignity, identity…..Victoria.

What About Qualified Seychellois Doing The Master Plan?
Why has James Michel not had qualified Seychellois contribute to a master plan and do it? That may sound like a hair brained idea to Mr. Michel, but it sounds like a reasonable and highly plausible idea to many Seychellois. We are not all meant to carry guns and shoot at our fellow brothers and sisters.
Michel - If Seychellois are not good at Planning, how about an Arab President as well?

I have been receiving reports that numerous properties are up for grabs by Abu Dhabi ictoria Waterfront property which was highly marketed at the 2020 Expo and which had been promised to the likes of the Seychelles Yacht Club and Marine Charter for further development is now earmarked for Arab investors. Properties all over South Mahe , even the defunct Emirates Cap Ternay Project is soon to find new Arab owners. The list is daunting. What exactly is going through James Michel mind to sell interests in Seychelles
Desperate Men Take Desperate Measures
Mr. Michel recently took over the Tourism portfolio. But he has not done much with it and we have not seen him do much with it except to increase State House' travel budget at the expense of taxpapers money. It is depressing to say the least. If anything, he has helped to destroy Tourism since he took over. It has been in my opinion, a little like the boy taking a toy and smashing it into a wall because he did not know how to wind it up. To make Tourism work, all players need to be engaged in a real way, and the playing field must not be said to be level, but it must actually be so.
Our most important Ministry needs a leader with vision, not a President who thinks he knows it all. Why does he not simply hand over the tourism portfolio over to Alain St. Ange who is doing all the work anyway? Surely St. Ange cannot do any worse than Michel.

Surprisingly, many people do not know that Mr. Michel has taken over the portfolio for Planning, Lands and Land Use and Habitat. It is here where, we must be afraid, be very afraid, because Mr. Michel will sell anything he can likely, under his “Sesel Pou ARAB”- policy!
But Michel's know-it-all and Arab-loving policies will surely backfire one day in the future as the Seychellois people have been watching the Arab Spring with great passion and are simply tired of being lied and manipulated. The death of Gadhafi on Thursday is a grim reminder of what happens to despotic and corrupt leaders who believe a country, its people and its resources belong to them.
Just remember the trick statement he made when he took office: “Judge me by my actions” and then he said: “I am President of all Seychellois”.
I guess a lot of passports will be sold in UAE over the coming months.

These two countries continue to do exceptional well in terms of arrival numbers from europe. WHY?

While he's at it can he also point out that none of these countries run Carnavel de Male nor Carnaval de Port Louis.Proof that our problems lie elsewhere. He's good at getting his face in every photo on every newspaper, issueing press releases on every issue favourable to James Michel. In short, doing everything except the job he's being paid thousands of euros to do.
Today everyone of us is having to pay for his and James michel's incompetence.
We who love our little islands and want to see it prosper need to decide today whether we're happy with the way our government is going about things.If we're not, we need to let government know, in no uncertain terms.
James Michel allowed David Savy to run Air seychelles as if it was his personal property. He brought in his cronies and together brought the airline to its feet.
James Michel cannot pretend he did not know. But the Savy brothers somehow are like some bad rash - he's unable to get rid of them. Recently, as we've seen, Glenny Savy is coming back on committees and Boards of directors of government companies.
Wouldn't it have been better to lease IDC to people who can really develop these islands and save Air Seychelles?

The Deputy CEO let slip this week that Air Seychelles has been increasing its staff in recent years while the planes were flying empty.
Furthermore, the Parti Lepep government knew about the crisis at least a year ago.
They chose to pump money into Air Seychelles to keep it going because of the presidential elections.
Today, the problems are so big that they had no choice but to shut down Air Seychelles. Morgan said Air Seychelles was causing a forex crisis because the country's forex was being used to pay Air Seychelles' bills. The black market was about to come back.
Had they taken action last year by cutting back on administrative costs, it would have saved the airline. It would have lost some of the staff but it would have saved the jobs of the majority. Now just a few will remain. The election of James Michel had to take priority over the future of Air Seychelles.
Political expediency all this is.
James Michel had to give the impression that all was well in paradise until Gappy duly declared him the winner and he got his morons "elected" to his lasanble serye.
Then it's payback time and in the process give Khalia full control of our future.
Before too long, Khalifa our benefactor will make another generous donation for budget support. Budget support after Alain st Ange would have failed - as expected - to deliver the tourist numbers and revenue.

In the meeting with fishermen shown on tv last night, Joel Morgan was doing all the talking.
The guy from SFA peeped a few words but we never heard a single word from our minister responsible for fisheries. If anything, Peter Sinon looked bored and fed up. Fed up with Ti Morgan who has something to say on everything, fed up with the mediocrity in James Michel's government. Suddenly life at the African Development Bank and Tunis seem so far away.
The problem of Jean Pual is that he is young well educated but not has not experince at all.Furthermore,as he has a brain ,he long recognizes that a butcher to the likes of Michel depend on him to concoct a few Jenpa abuses in a way his intelect to do as he wishes.

There are two super ministers in James Michel's government: Joel Morgan and Jean Paul Adam. The others are there for show.
James Michel could get rid of them and save us some money. Savings could even go towards keeping Air Seychelles afloat. Think about it.

James Michel appointed the young inexperienced Jean Paul Adam as minister to win the votes of the young voters.He wanted to give them proof that he the youth, especially coming from JJ Spirit foundation had a bright future under him.
Never mind that Adam's experience amounted only to being a very junior official in the ministry of foreign affairs, had never worked in an embassy, never held a senior position in any governemt dept.
But of course he was an Adam....The right breed.
The appointment of Jean Paul Adam is another of Michel's ideas that has crashed. JPA was appointed at the time Sarkozy was appointing young, beautiful French women to his cabinet. Michel thought it was a good idea to follow suit and Adam was the nearest he had to young, beautiful French women. Sarkozy has since got rid of these French beauties from his cabinet as the elections approach. Michel is stuck with the well-politically-connected Adam who now looks like one of the oldest looking 30something on earth.
Michel has yet to say something on the crash of Air Seychelles. Doesn't he know what to say and do in a crisis ? The 17th anniversary of the CBS did not help his case. He had to emerge from State House to make a speech to the bankers telling them how to run their banks. Michel got more than he deserved after the Air Seychelles fiasco -- respectful silence. If Michel can't run state-owned organisations, he has no right to tell bankers how to run privately owned banks.
When will we learn that if we want a new Seychelles, we need a new government. You just can't teach an old dog new tricks.

It is not political parties who should organise strikes. It is the workers' unions which are sometimes affiliated to political parties.
As we do not live in a democracy, we do not have independent workers' unions to fight for workers' rights.
If we do not want to live in a democracy and we continue to vote for PL, it should not come as a surprise that we do not have a non-government workers' union to look after our interests.
Next time we go to the ballot box, we should think about that -- i.e. the big picture and not just the fridge, mattress, cooker, corrugated iron sheets that Parti Lepep hands out at election time.

Yes, we may feel that it's time to turn over the page and get some fresh leaders but where are the new leaders? Why are they not coming forward?

A week after the so-called "repositioning & re-structuring" of Air Seychelles, SBC tonight gave us another dose of some bouyon resofe. Morgan preaching to us from his leather chair and the SBC journalists sitting around the varnished table looking mesmerised by every word he utters. No hard questions - in fact no question at all.
In a preoper democracy where he had proper journalists, Morgan would be asked the following questions:
1. You say the financial problems of Air Seychelles started over a year ago, it coincides with government's open skies policy. What did government do to protect our airline?
2. Knowing what they knew, why did President Michel,on his visit to the Air Seychelles HQ before the May presidential elections told that staff that everything was OK?
3.Why did government continue to recruit? Including for a deputy CEO? To be deputy CEO of what?
4.Isn't clear that sinking Air Seychelles was the plan all along and now that the so-called "code sharing" is with Etihad isn't it a fact that the future of our tourism industry lies with some arab airline?
5.Do you seriously believe that there would be sufficient business between Mauririus and South Africa to sustain an airline in the long term?
6.When will your government stop taking us for monkeys and give us the respect that we deserve?
7.Do you realise that NOTHING your President and your government say can be believed anymore: our economy is solid then we're running to IMF; Sesel pou Seselwa then you bring in foreigners to run every single sector of our economy. Even in our embassy, an area normally reserved for nationals, Michel has found it fit to appoint an Italian and a french. No Seychellois is competent enough.

- What was management doing to give confidence to the trade, so they would book with Air Sey in their tour packages? Why were there mixed signals?
- who was running the commercial dept?
- What was their distribution network like? What was their pricing strategy?
- If the planes were so old and not flying to the right markets , what was Corporate Planning doing - from which the Deputy CEO came from? Why was he selected for the job, when it's obvious the department where he originated from didn't implement the right strategy?
- Why is it that Air Sey is not getting the numbers, but carriers like Emirates and Etihad are increasing flights?
Please, at the end of the day, it's been revealed that those in charge had no idea what they were doing.
Now families and the economy will suffer.

Gill created the Seychelles Freedom Party with support and backing of the members.
Gill insures Freedom Party is not financed by PL Dr. Ramadoss or SIVA to keep the opposition in a position of integrity.

PDM has been financed by PL.

It is SNP under Mr. Ramkalawan who has allowed Fabrikes to take over our country, and he want 18 more years to finish the job.
The time is now to see this FRAUD.
We in Freedom Party know we are not in a Democracy. Hence we do not spend time asking who elected who. We get the job done and we are focused on delivering : 1. Democracy, 2, Freedom 3. Regime Change.

To Freedom Party Ramkalawan has become a bit of a side show no longer relevant to our realities.He has missed too many opportunities to do the right thing for Seychelles. Instead did the right thing for himself, like some back water tin pot leader.

The SNP covention yesterday endorsed a resolution for an electoral alliance(yes another one)between SNP, Boulle and Ralph Volcere. This groups all the opposition forces in Seychelles except Christopher Gill's SFP.
