Here we go again! The SPPF Government and its Ministry of Finance has pulled out all the stops and given the new Four Seasons Hotel at Petite Anse Mahe every tax concessions under the sun, to the detriment of local Seychellois hotel owners and obviously in total contradiction to the Tourism Incentive Act (TIA) which was supposed to create a level playing field for all tourism establishments.
What a load of B.S. Lies, lies and more lies from cuban-trained Minister of Finance Danny Faure, who just a few weeks ago told the trade that all incentives were the same for Seychellois and foreign investors. And to think James Michel in his State of the Union address had the guts to tell us that he wants the Seychellois people to work harder. Yes, we will work harder, pay more taxes while our foreign investor counterparts get the red-carpet treatment.
Can you imagine a hotel getting 20 cars at ZERO trades tax, while all other Seychellois continue to pay up to 225% tax on a new car! Car hires are closing down due to the attrocious trades tax on cars, and even taxi drivers are barely able to make a living since hotels no longer use their services.
This is another example of Michel saying one thing to us, and doing just the opposite behind closed doors. Michel and Faure, you are both a disgrace to our country, and you should step down. As for small "j" Belmont the ghost Minister of Tourism who only shows up for cocktails, he should seriously go back to farming!
Check this letter from the Ministry of Finance, signed by no other than Ronald Cafrine, on behalf of Principal Secretary Ahmed Afif. Now can someone tell us where Afif and Cafrine received their instructions from? Of course, the rumour is that Albert and Mooky were the real estate brokers on this Four Seasons property in the first place... can you see where this is leading? Wonder what their commission was, or whether they both received a villa in exchange!

They will be allowed to use all the dustbins allocated to public and householders from Anse Soleil to Anse A La Mouche. They are not regulated by the Licensing Authority to have their garbage removed by SWAC. They are free to dispose their garbage as they want. I have photos to subsentiate my claim.
